Re: bb sized greenish lite

It may be that some dust is on the projection lens. It is possible to remove the screen and clean the mirror and lens. However, it could also be an issue with the light engine itself.

Samsung HCN2446W -- Yellow/Greenish tint all over screen

That model should be HCN4226W, right? Because the other don't come-up. Sounds like the mirror may have moved. It's mounted on the upper part of the back of the T.V. Should be flat against the back. Check that. Then see if all 3 tubes are lighting up. Also possable the fluid leaked out.....but not likely. These sets are fairly robust. Do you remember jarring it in the drive home?? Did you have it laying down when you moved it?

The t.v.just went blank while watching it.

Power boards are like time bombs. When it's time is up, it's up. Since it is 3 yrs old, I would buy a new tv. Most TV parts only last 3-5 years anyways. It did a good job.

The tv has a bad lite engine. Please call the manufacture's customer service and asked them for a concession for this repair. This a $700.00 to $900.00 repair. If you persist 95% of the time they will cover this repair for you. Use the word 'concession' that's there verbiage.Good luck.

How old is the TV? Usualy the most common problem with these Projection TV's are the LAMPS. They can last anywhere from 1 yr to 3 yrs. They usualy need to be replaced after 1yr and a half (18 months). Manufacturer's usually warranty them for that period of time. There is an access panel in the rear of the TV. If you open this panel you can see the lamp. Check it and see if it has gone out.

Green spot on picture

Greenish yellow spot only means one thing. You have a defective lite engine. The only fix is to replace the engine. This part is very
expensive. Average cost $835.00 Part number A-1606-008-A
