Question about Gateway MX6428 Notebook
Go to EBAY or wherever and get the hinges and replace them yourself. Its fairly simple, mostly requiring a small 4way screwdriver and taking your time doing it.A repair shop will probably charge too much for such a simple repair. Before replacing them try to put a little silicon lubricant on them as to prevent future breakage. Also when you open your laptop always lift the screen in the middle or lifting from both sides keeping stress off the hinges.
