Hello reginhall,
Please use this link to identify which hose is disconnected
http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php
and water is probably pouring out BECAUSE it is disconnected..
Once you identify which hose you are referring too, I may be able to walk you thu re-installing of replacing it,.,

Get water to run through inlet hose

Remove the hose.

Turn the water on very gently, having put a bucket underneath the pipe. If water then flows, there is an obstruction in the pipe. If there is no water, then maybe the pipe has been disconnected or the valve has stuck.

most washer are set up pretty much the same ill do this by number so you can follow
1 make sure you empty washing machine either by spin cycle or manual drain through kick flap at front make sure you have rags towels bowl 2 unplug the plug from electrics 3 turn water supply off at wall disconnect water inlet pipe 4 now all electrics and water are disconnected you need to disconnect the drain hose usually attach to drain pipe behind wash be careful these are usually full so drain off 5 if you can manage yourself carefully put washing machine on its side put some towels down to protect 6 underneath usually to the front right bottom is the sump pump with the sump hose black and the drain hose grey and the manual drain hose now either by clip or screw loosen the drain hose it is usually attached up the sides by clips they can just be pulled off one free from the sump motor just pull it through if refitting remember its just all reversed what you have done good luck

Washer not working. Showing code HF or FH

On my hoover 200m (top loader) I had a similar problem. I turned off the machine & unplugged it. Closed water taps both hot & cold. Manually emptied machine with large cup. Undid bottom outlet hose by unclipping. The residual water will come out! I undid the 3 screws on the control panel. Tilted the control panel forward. The water level is manual control using a diagaphram pressure control to set water level. This had a hose. I disconnected both ends and used a bicycle pump to blow air thorough it. Underneath I disconnected where the hose goes into machine (clips) and also blew air from the top to check it was clear. After reconnecting everything the machine now does not stop filling and does not overflow anymore. Hope this helps.

Water Leaks from beneath my washing machine

Our WM2077CW just started the water leaking from underneath. We unplugged the electrical cord and disconnected the hoses (water, drain). We then removed the inspection plate from the back and checked for wet hoses. The big black hose on the bottom was a little wet. On careful examination we found a small hole that looked like a material fatigue failure at the point where the accordion part of the hose met with the solid part of the hose near the main drum connection. I suspect this is may occur in other LG washers of the same design. Unless your floor is perfectly level it's hard to tell whether coming from the left or right side really indicates where underneath the water is coming from.

That is the air pressure tube to the water level switch.
This video will show you how to access the inner parts of the washer. Ignore the part about drive coupling replacement.
The tube is connected to the air dome on the side of the outer tub and goes into the control panel and attaches to the water level switch. After you reconnect it, set the machine for SPIN and run it a few seconds to reset the water level switch.
