The mfc cant print any mirrow images by itself.

But why do you need to print a mirrow? as far as I remember is the print straight right thru. The foil has to be turned onto the shirt before you run the iron?!!!

SOURCE: Brother MFC-490CW Won't Print

If you have installed something since yesterday you might want to use system restore. the program might be causing the flaw. If not dont worry. You will need to uninstall the printer from your printer page and reinstall it. depending if it is a networked printer or a usb connected. If networked all you have to do is follow the install wizard. but if it is a usb you will have to go to the company's website and download a printer driver. after that it should work. dont forget to restart your computer. sometimes that can help too.

My Brother MFC-490CW prints magenta where it should be printing black. I have done numerous cleanings and alignments. I changed the black cartridge and it is a Brother cartridge, not a refill. Still...

Well, either your print settings have it set to print in a color model that is not the native one (I can get this from CUPS drivers by picking KMCY instead of CMYK, among others) or it is confused enough to need Brother's initializing tool (program, I mean) to get it sorted out. Try de-weirding your settings first, then double-check the print dialog's settings when you retry. Nobody loves magenta-on-white for print.

I have a MFC 490CW brother Printer I want to print B/W copies only I change the preference to grayscale but still does not print

Hi there,
That's the correct thing that you need to do, setting the printer preferences to GRAYSCALE. If that doesn't work you can also try printing document using a different/another application (example: Microsoft Word, Excel), because sometimes the setting of an application overrides the setting of the printer driver.
The last option for this issue is to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver.
Hope this helps. Rate if it works. Thanks

Using a C3100 series HP inkjet printer, I'm trying to print HP Iron-on Transfer Paper but when I select that option, I cannot get the appropriate reverse image need for ironing on the transfer. What's...

The steps vary by printer. I've got a c7280 installed and the options for me are to click Print > Preferences > Advanced > Mirror image. When you click on Mirror image, you change it from 'off' to 'on'. Click OK to save the setting and print. Be sure to change it back after you're done printing your transfers.
I am an HP employee. I do not represent HP on this site.

You need to make the changes in the drivers. Click on start then control panel, double click the printer icon. Right click the MFC-210c and select printing prefferences. Click on the advanced tab and put a check mark where it says mirror printing.
