Progrmmable Thermostate The thermostate turns the furnance on and off all day and evening according to the set times and Temps, The last program of the night at about 3am, the furnance won"t turn-on. The house drops below the requested Temp until I physically get up and turn a switch on the side of the furnance off and on. I need a booklet for directions on how to operated & set this thermostate, as I just purchased the home.

Since you didn't give the furnance/air conditioning model number or the model number of the thermostat controlling them, it is impossible for us to give you good advice or instructions.

Suggest you obtain the make and model number of your thermostat and either google it for the owner manual or come back on the site with it and we will try to help find the owners manual for you.

I have an older round thermostate is there a way to set a thermostate to the right temperature in other words to calibrate it Tim

Hello
There is a anticipator inside,if you remove the cover you will see a small slider on a round disc.

Moving it forward will increase run time, moving it back will decrese run time.

Try the 4.8 setting.

The water pump has what's called a 'weeping hole' built into it. If the pump is bad You'll se water coming out of the hole. When was the last time you flushed the radiator? It may be your radiator cap is bad, they should be changed once a year & the radiator flushed. You can also test ur thermostate. take out ur thermostate & put it in a pot of water so that the water covers the thermostate. Then put a cooking thermometer in the pot to & heat the water til it says 195. u should see the car thermostate begin to open. if it don't it's bad & needs replacing.

Water collecting under the crispers

Defective thermostate switches off the compressor and then switches on the compressor before time. Please replace the thermostate to solve this problem. There is no defect with the compressor or there is no refrigerent leak too since you have good cooling. Only it require replacement of thermostate.

No power to thermostate on Duo Therm 15000

Look for a small fuse somewhere in the control panel. Usually a blade type (car) fuse 3 to 5 amp. Chack to see if its blown. If you have no fuse, or its NOT blown. Check to see if you have voltage comming out of, and going into the transformer.

Thsi is where you would START to diagnose the problem. Check this and we can go further.

Blower runs constantly even with the thermostate off.

There is a fan relay in central air conditioners that can get its contacts welded together and make the fan run all the time. Electronic thermostats can short out and run the fan all the time. Both of these faults require a new part, either a relay or a thermostate.
