Remote instructions needed

I can't find my remote instructions - can I get a copy of instructions on what all the buttons mean. I only have it hooked to a VCR/DVD player (no cable or satellite). I want the monitor (poloroid) to allow the remote for the DVD player to be the one I use. I DID have it working this way then I accidentally hit a wrong button and now I can't get it to do anything. I need to know how to set the remote again so I can use the DVD remote to run the thing. HELP

There is no TV button to press on rc-017 remote, setup instructions say press on tv button till led lights up.

If you mean the Coby RC-017 remote, it is not a universal remote that can be set to control any TV or other device. This remote will only work with the TV for which it was originally programmed. I believe it should work for a TF-TV1511, if both the remote transmitter and television IR sensor are working. Assuming you have the correct TV, try just pressing the power button.

I hope this helps.

How do i hook it up to my computer without a remote

"How do I hook up my computer without a remote?"

Two possibilities come to mind:

1. With a VGA (15 pin), HDMI, or DVI connected computer there should be a keyboard key combination (typically a Function button (Fn ) and one of the F1 thru F12 keys) that will activate the option for switching the video signal to the external monitor/TV, or in the case of a laptop, viewing the image on both screens. The TV's "INPUT" button, if there is one, will need to be pushed several times to cycle through the available input signals until the computer video signal input is seen.

2, Alternately, if there is no "INPUT" button, it may be possible to purchase an inexpensive universal remote (ones seen even at a local $1 Store) in able to access the TV menu. The remote will have programming instructions and codes for most major TV brands, and an Internet search, or the TV manufacturer, should provide for additional codes for your specific TV model if necessary.

Kindly post a reply if either of these options do work for you.

My brighthouse remote can turn my tv on and off but not change channels

The remotes have several device keys at the top of the remote. They have abbreviations like "VCR", "DVD", "TV", "CBL". By default some actions are locked into a specific key. By default, the volume buttons will always control the TV volume and the channel buttons will always change channels on a digital box.
If you have a digital box, and the channels wont change, the default locks might have been removed. Consult the instruction manual that came with the remote and re-lock the buttons to the correct device key. Otherwise you will need to press the "tv" button when trying to change volume and the "cbl" button when trying to change channels.
If you do NOT have a cable box and are just simply trying to use the universal remote as a primary remote, you will need to unlock the global channel lock. Consult the manual for the remote or check online for the remote guide. The Company which makes the remotes is called Universal Electronics and you can find digital copies of their manuals on the Brighthouse Websites.

I can not find the correct code for my remote. i

I've encountered this same problem before with several brands of tv. Your TV remote programming instructions (and the Uverse instructions) should include an option to "search" for the code by doing all the steps you would do if you had a particular code, except that you hit the channel up button until the tv turns off. This means that the remote found the right code (whatever it may be). Then you hit the TV button to save the code, and voila.

then turn device on (dvd/vcr) and on the remote press input button at the very top. this would set your device to video one screen, and you can watch whatever it is that you hooked up.
for cable or antenna hook that up then press reset button on remote ( bottom right hand side)

No remote tv was given to me hooked up all I got was a black

black screen means that you need to change the input or it is not hooked up correctly with the cabling. if no "input, a/v, source or tv/video" button on tv itself will need to purchase universal remote. if you do have one of those buttons continue to push it several times pausing a few seconds in between and look for a picture. also you can try channeling up or down to ch 3 or 4 or sometimes even channeling down/up will change the different inputs (depends on the tv) hope this helps
