I just installed a yamaha

i just installed a yamaha home entertainment system and connected my cable box with hdmi in and hdmi out to tv.  i get picture and sound on tv but not on the speakers.  I know it;s probably a simple setting on the receiver.  help me

Did you set the inputs up in the set up menu for your amp? if so then run a seperate audio line out from your cable box to your amp.
