Hi,i bought an 04 fiat stilo 3 weeks ago. the radio worked fine on the way back from dealers but then stopped all of a sudden a week later, the very next day the whole car battery was drained and had to get...

If your battery keeps dying, I recommend you get the alternator checked. I must admit that I chuckled a little at your post (having AA look at your car, I'm sure you meant AAA). If you need the code for your radio, you can go to But I would have your alternator looked at first. This may be the source of a draining battery. If it's ok, you might want to have a mechanic look at the vehicle.

Radio will not acceprt code on passport after disconnecting battery, is there a default code? it's a clarion radio model no. CH916 fiied to a 1996 nissan almera. cheers

The only CLARION code available for free (using a serialnumber ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODESERIAL NUMBER beginning with C 7000000 + + ++ on a separate label somewhere on themetal casing. (Note ...not beginning with CL.) If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service oryour local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode thememory chip (EEPROM) inside your radio

Replaced battery in my 1999 Nissan Altima GXE and now radio won't turn on. It is a factory installed cd player/radio. When I called the dealership, they told me Nissan does not use radio codes. Is this...

If you have a theft deterent radio, then when you changed the battery, you left it disconnected too long, more than 30 minutes will cause the radio to erase the chip that has the instructions on how to operate. In the future do not leave the battery disconnected for too long a time. It is customary to clip a 9 volt battery across the neg and pos leads of the battery to hold the memory instructions. I am afraid you are going to have to take it to a dealer to have the radio reprogrammed as they are the only ones that have the programming tool. I think they charge about 25 bucks to do it

When undoing the battery the radio wont turn on again appearing need to input again the security code

By design whenever a "code radio" loses power such as disconnecting the battery upon power up u will have to enter the correct code in the correctv sequence. The logic behind this is the radio doesnt know if its being stolen or not, but thats the security aspect of the design.

Hi I have A hyndai stereo car 1996 ecxel glx. I disconnet the battery then I put it back stereo code doesnt work. I need step by step to get and instal the code

Radio code is specific for each and every car. It is specific like anti theft code.

So you can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in authorised dealership.Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car..

Delco factory radio display is saying loc

There is a code. This usually happens when the battery dies, when you disconnect the radio or disconnect the battery. Unfortunately only the dealer or delco repair shop can unlock it.
have a great day!
