Cut a lemon into quarters and pop them into the kettle. Boil kettle once or twice then remove lemon pieces. Wipe off residual lime in kettle with a paper towel; Simple and Safe.

Two cups white vinegar, add water to the maximum fill line and boil. Let it stand 'til cool and do it again. And again. Then clear water and boil. Again. And again. Then wipe clean with paper towels and boil another fill of clear water.

please give the amounts of vinegar to water and the lenght of time to let it sit in the kettle. These instructions were included with the kettle, but I cannot find them now (several years after purchase), nor can I remember the details. I do not want to put lemons down inside of my kettle! Thanks.
