Question about Washing Machines

Cold water trickling out of machine during rinse cycle

Replaced screen and hose. It appears that there must be an internal screen that's clogged disrupting the flow? This is a GE Profile Performance Wizard WPSE7003A. How can I get to this to clean it? The warm water flows just fine. Can't wash in Cold water right now.

Check cold water pressure to washer. if pressure o/k then you will probably need a new cold inlet valve fitting.

The gas dryer is heating but with diminished air flow.

Frequently there's an obstruction in the vent duct from the dryer to the outside of the house. For the dryer to heat properly, the duct must be clean and clear of lint or any other substance. Your dryer has some internal ductwork. If it gets clogged, your dryer can't dry properly. In most dryers, to get to the internal ductwork to clear the clog, you have to substantially disassemble the dryer. A quick way to check for internal clogs is to remove the lint filter and use a flashlight to inspect the inside of the duct. If it looks clogged and you can't clear it using your vacuum, contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

The GE Profile Dishwasher does not drain completely. The bottom drain shows no obvious clog and the screens are clear. The overflow drain in the back of the washers the only reason the dishwasher does not...

Uncouple the drain hose connection under the sink and use a wet/dry vacuum to **** out the drain hose and the stub on the sink drain plumbing to clear any possible clogs. There may be a blocked check valve near the pump that might have to be cleaned or replaced. Check the hose itself for any kinks or collapsed section. There might be a damaged drain impeller on the pump. Hope this helps!

Dishwasher isn't draining

this is usually caused by clogged drain it is the hose that leads to the water pump suction located in between the inner and the outer tub. you can usually feel around the hose by squeezing it if you feel a lump within the hose then all you have to do it remove the foreign material. you can do this by removing the top cover and reach over the bottom to try to remove it or by seperating the hose from underneath to clear the clogg.

Most likely the front support bearing. If this is the problem you will likely have to replace the slides too. The wizards have a ten year warranty. The bearing is part number WE3M26 and the slides probably need 3 or 4 of them are we1m333. Hope this helps.

  • the water filter may be clogged (if equipped)
  • or it could be the screen in the water valve clogged a little.
  • or the water supply line could be clogged if it has a needle piercing water valve.

I have a problem wiht a Ge Profile washer machine.

Power off the wall. Close your water faucet on the wall. Disconnect the hose at inlet to examine the screens for clogging, on machine inlet also. Refit the hose to inlet check water flow after opening full, then refit to machine. If this does not work, open top of machine to check the hoses coming to your compartment.
