SOURCE: current file is bad message keeps coming up. I have 130 photos,

I had this problem - The problem is the way that the file was encoded after editing in photoshop. When saving it as a JPEG you must make sure that the format options are set to either Baseline "standard" or Baseline "Optimized". If the format settings are set as Progressive you will get the error "current file is bad blah blah blah"
Hope this helps.

The pictures are too big, reduce the size by compressing them using JPEG software.

Change the file format when saving can reduce the file size by up to 90%.

On Internet Explorer , go to the File Menu and select Open, then Browse. In the Browse dialog box, set Files of Type to the file you want to open (GIF, JPEG, etc.) and navigate the Look in box to the folder where the file is located. Double-click the filename and it should display in your browser. You may get a message saying that a program could not be found. If you do, just click OK, and the image will display in your browser window.

I want to attach digital pictures to send along with email messages but the picture files are too large. How can I rectify this issue?

What format are they stored in. I would have thought those stored in .JPG format would be ok to attach.

1) Check format of each picture, if necessary convert to .jpg or JPEG format. Most photo editing software will allow you to do this.

2) If already in .JPG format then reduce the size of photo's using photo editing software.

3) Limit the number of pictures you attach, I'd keep my emails to a max of about 5-6 Mhz. (3 pictures)

Pandigital Photo Frame - Slideshow leaves out Photos?

Size limit depends on exact model. Anything over 4GB will almost certainly not work consistently with any. model 1GB or less should work with any model. None of the images should be stored in folders, and all should be jpeg format (.jpg). If any of them have been edited, they may be saved as Progressive jpeg or something similar even if the extension (.jpg) remains the same. If you resave the missing photos in as JPEG in MS Paint, it should ensure they are compatible. You may have to format the memory card and re-add the photos to make sure it will work,

You will need a photo-editing software in order to shrink the image file. If you have a more high-end photo editing program such as photoshop, you can simply go to image > image size, and then input a lower resolution.

Otherwise, you can shrink it using microsoft paint. Open the image file in paint, then go to the image menu, and select the resize/skew item. Keep in mind that your phone only has a 400x240 resolution, so any photos larger than that will not show any better on your phone. If you took this photo from a handheld camera that is 4 or fewer years old, you'll probably want to shrink the photo to 20-30% of its size. Then, just save the photo as a new file, and make sure you save it as a JPEG in the drop-down save menu, or your phone may not recognize the format.

Keep getting "invalid file size" when i try to open pictures.

May be the photos are not in JPEG mode. May be the file size is too big to open.

So try to save as Jpeg or Gif format and compress or resize using picasa or other tools available freely.

Ultimate paint, Picasa , Windows Picture Manager etc are some programs... Then transfer to phone and try to view

How to reduced photo in format (JPEG)

To decrease the size of the image as well as change the format to jpeg, Open the file in PaintBrush and do a "Save As" and choose the file type as JPEG, and the size is reduced.
Once the size of the file is small, it won't take much time to upload in any site.
