Sir my laptop name is lenovo G550 intel pentium inside, the problm is battery back up is 3 hours but am not getting atleast 45 min please help me

Hi Kiran
It sounds as though your battery may be failing to charge properly. This can either be due to insufficient charging time or the battery going faulty. Also your machine could be simply drawing unneeded power during use. Ways to extend battery time include dimming the display, turning off wireless connections, it all depends on what you are doing while the machine is on battery. Have you previously achieved the 3 hour battery life? if so then it is likely that the battery may be going faulty. Try to do a full charge/discharge cycle a few times to see if the life improves. Hope this helps.

No battery is detected in dell 830

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

My lenovo x 60 tablet battery shows 0% available, not charging. I have got a new battery and it still shows the same message. can u provide a solution

Hi deepak_nangi,

There are two possible reasons why you are getting 0% available, not charging prompt even if you already got a new battery. It couls be an AC adapter issue or the DC In. Kindly follow the basic troubleshooting below that will help you isolate the issue:

1. Remove the battery from your system and use the AC adapter alone. If your system is not charging using the charger alone, then it's already defective and needed replacement.

2. You may also try using your AC adapter with other system where it is compatible. If it will work with other laptop then the issue is the DC In.

3. The DC In is the port where you are plugging in your AC Adapter. It is buit in to *********** board. If the DC In is loosed your system will not be charged as well. If this will be the case then the mother board needs replacement.

Doing these steps will help you determine the cause of the problem.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

Lenovo n100 is 10 minut after power off.

If you are running on battery power and it powers off, then the battery is not fully charged or the battery is worn out or faulty.
Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and after 2 or more years they will lose its charge capacity until it will not charge at all.
A new battery will solve your problem provided the charging circuit in the laptop is OK.

Turn off actomatically, cannot turn on so far.

Your battery may be too low to allow charging it and "starting" your computer at rhe same time.

Remove the battery and clean the contacts on the battery and the laptop.
1. Plug in the laptop power adapter with no battery in the laptop.
2. Turn ON computer. It should stay turned on.
3. After Windows settles, insert battery.
4. The computer will stay powered on.
5. Allow to charge.
