A memory swivel (or return swivel) is a type of bar stool that swivels but then returns to the original position once a person gets up. Most memory swivel stools only rotate 180 degrees.

Proper Hose Length Sizing for Swimming Pool Pressure Cleaners

Belive it or not... too many swivels add to the problem!
Most people think if I add a swivel right here, where it begins to coil then tangle, it will fix the problem, but yet the problem remains!!!

The manufacturer recommends this for the proper layout of the hoses; from the wall all the way to the head:

If the hoses are old, they may no longer be pliable enough? You should replace them with new ones: 1 section Clear Soft Hose, and 2 sections of White, not so soft hoses.
  • First, determine the deepest part of the pool/pool "Depth"
  • That is how "Long" the 1st hose is to be. The softer clear hose
  • Now... Attach all the hoses together, 1st hose already cut per the above and the other two "White" hoses - UNCUT.
    • Place the head at the point on the deck where the wall adaptor is for the hose to attach
  • Walk around the pool holding the wall adaptor
    • Move your hand forward towards the edge of the pool to mark the total length of the pool, if you come to a point where your hand is over the water, hose is too short, move your hand back, if your hand is too far back away from the waters edge, the hose too long
  • Once you get back to the starting point, you should now know how long the hose needs to be. You could probably have 1' - 4', maybe more maybe less? Take note of the excess hose, that will need to be cut off, too long of hose will only tangle up. BUT WAIT, THERES MORE....
    • You may think that I now just cut off the excess length? You would be wrong!!!
    • Lets say you have 4' of excess hose...
    • Follow the hose in your hand to the next swivel, disconnect it.
    • NOW Cut. But... cut off 2' from one of the white hoses, AND 2' from the other white hose.
    • Reconnect the swivel. You have now cut off 4' of excess hose.
Recap: What you have done is with the 3 pieces of hose is cut it & adjusted it to the correct lengths. The soft hose is as long as the pool is deep. The two White Harder pieces are Exactly Even!! The way it should be!

Now, the Back up valve will be placed on the soft hose about 3-4' away from the head.

Follow this and the hose should not tangle. And...
Heed any advice about storing the hose coiled as it is not good, As this advice will be ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!
Whenever storing, always store in a straight line, otherwise it will retain the memory of the coil. If this has already happened, then take hose & stretch over the deck in the sun for the better part of the day, this will relax the hose & erase any memory of the coil.

Good Luck

Wheels do not swivel simmetrically, i.e. left wheel swivels freely, right wheel has a "mind of its own." Both slides are in the same position. I tried changing them from down to up position. ...

The "up and down positions" set the spring tension to give a softer or harder ride. They must be on the same setting for the wheels to be "simmetrical" The best way to maintain the front wheel units is to take them off the stroller drop into a bucket of hot soapy water, scrub, hose off and leave to dry. Once dry spray with silicon spray and wipe off excess with a paper towel. Don't use WD40 or other oil based sprays. They stain fabrics and stay wet causing dust to stick. Check that the sockets the wheels clip into are clean and give then a spray with silicon too. If you still have a problem your frame may be bent.

My Mr Zippy moves throughout the pool, but constantly gets "stuck" against the wall.

With these pool cleaners, I would first check your Star Control settings. It could definitely be a problem with your flow. Blue or black means insufficient flow (increase flow by turning clockwise until the black indicator line aligns with the yellow area on the indicator gauge). Yellow is optimal and orange is slightly high but may be ok for larger pools. If you are getting red, your flow is too high and is driving the cleaner into the wall area. Turn the star control counter-clockwise until the black indicator line aligns with the yellow area on the indicator gauge. In addition to flow, check for hose memory and to make sure that the hose floats are evenly spaced. Assure that the nozzle assembly swivels freely.

We have a wall mounted kitchen sink mixer with a swivel spout. Water leaks from the swivel connection. What material do I have to prepare before disassembling the spout? an "O" ring? some kind...

The spouts normally take an "O" ring seal and these should be freely available at larger hardware or faucet outlets. There may also be a plastic wear ring which does not seal and is not normally replaced unless the spout is loose in its fitting.

My louck flash is formated and now i can not use the space what do i do?

Your Imation Swivel Flash Drive comes formatted and ready to use right out of the box.
If you will be using the drive exclusively with Macintosh computers, do not format the Imation Swivel Flash Drive. The formatting message appears if your Macintosh has not yet been set up to read Windows-formatted files. Refer to your Mac's user manual to learn how to enable Windows file read functionality.
Also, be aware that when you format your Imation Swivel Flash Drive with NTFS, you will not be able to store as much data as your would without formatting. The format file used by NTFS will use some of the available space on the Flash drive - for instance, on a 128MB Imation Swivel Flash Drive, you may lose up to 8MB to the NTFS format files.

How do I format my Imation USB 2.0 Swivel Flash Drive in Windows? Your drive must be set up as a single public partition, since neither Windows Explorer nor the Macintosh OS will recognize a password protected partition.
To format the drive in Windows:
  • Go to My Computer
  • Locate the corresponding drive letter for the Swivel Flash drive (i.e. removable drive F)
  • Right click
  • Choose Format from the menu
A dialog box will come up and allow you to format your Swivel Flash Drive. Depending on your operating system, you can choose to format the drive in FAT, FAT32, or NTFS.

How to I remove or resize a partition on my Imation Swivel Pro Flash Drive? To resize or remove a secure partition, you will need to do the following:
  • Open the Flash Manager software on your hard drive
  • Choose Create a partition
  • Move the slider to zero (0)
Why don't I see a drive letter for my Imation Swivel Flash Drive?

This problem occurs if you map a network drive to the first available drive letter following the drive letters for the local volumes and CD/DVD drives. When you install a new device or volume, a software called Mount Manager tries to assign drive letters to the new volumes. But since the software does not recognize mapped drive letters, it assigns the next available local drive letter to the new device. This causes a collision with the existing mapped network drive.
Since the problem is related to your Microsoft operating system, they are your best source for resolving this issue. For more information, click here.
