If you bought it online and you are saying you need help you need to go through the manufacturers website and do what is called an RMA. RMA = return to manufacturer authority. They often make it difficult for people who don't have patience and know the ropes.

If you bought it from a shop then simply take it back to them and they will have to RMA it for you. If you can prove its just the charger you can leave it with them, just the charger and keep the laptop.

You can buy replacement laptop chargers by searching for your model name at a website like Amazon and searching for "Replacement AC adaptor for" and the model name of your computer and you will be surprised its that easy. Amazon often delivers nearly overnight for not to much delivery charge.

My mobicel plum tablet is not charging. its been in the charger for 3 hours already ,and it shows the charging icon on and off on the the screen. it wont start and its only 3 months old.

It can only be the charger or the tablet and if you are sure the charger is ok it leaves the tablet.

At 3 months old it should be still under warranty and so as not to invalidate the warranty it should be returned to the retailer un-fiddled with...

My hp 2000mt pro pc won't start up

The first thing to check is for proper power. Try connecting your charger with the battery removed and powering up the computer. If you are not successful with this, it may be that the charger is defective and not charging your battery.
Advise that you purchase/borrow a supported laptop charger. A local HP repair center should have a compatible charger that you could use to test.
If it is not the charger (the laptop should work without a battery), then you have motherboard problems. Memory or other issues would cause a power on but errors. No power up at all is going to require some sort of board replacement.
At that point, your choice is warranty repair service or, if out of warranty, best bet will be replacement of laptop.

Dell inspiron said battery low plug into charger, when plugged in charger light goes out and laptop will not power on, why?

Remove the main battery from the laptop and try power, if it works the battery is bad, if no change the charger needs to be checked for proper voltage. Since your laptop is less than a year old you should have warranty for up to the year, check this asp and find your paperwork should verify.

Battery warranties are typically only good for a year. If you don't wish to send it in for them to replace you can purchase one yourself to replace it with. The user manual that came with the laptop will tell you the specs on the battery for your laptop. You need to match that.

If you lost the user manual you can download one under support on the HP website, matching your specific model number.

You can either look for a battery dealer in your area of locate one online to purchase one from. A local place can also test your old battery though it's not unusual for the amount of time it will run the laptop to drop over time.

When i insert the charges plugged in laptop mouse is not working properly.

Hi Raviseetha,

This is the issue with the Laptop Charger, your charger is faulty.

I would recommend borrowing a friend or family's laptop charger that works on your laptop and see if it works. If it does not, then the problem could be something internal circuitary and you should ask Compaq to fix it. If it charger works, then the problem is definitely the charger, possibly because it is not providing enough power which would usually happens all the time with most of the laptops
.
If you laptop is under warranty,I am pretty sure if you ask Compaq to replace the parts or fix them if necessary. Else you could buy a new charger and it would fix your issue..

This should solve your issue.

Please revert me, if you need more assistance, i would be very glad to assist you more.
If you were satisfied with the solution please rate this solution.

Thanks For using FixYa!

In order for to check if the charger is working properly, you can remove the battery and use the charger only. and observe for about 1 to 2 hours if your computer did not shutdown then your charger is still good.

If you still have warranty with asus much better if you ask them to replace your charger and that's for free.

My acaer aspire laptop keeps switching itself off

If the computer turns off instantly after the power is pressed, either you are not plugged into the charger and the battery is empty, or there is a hardware fault that is preventing it from starting up properly.

if you are plugged into the charger and the battery has power as well, then try unplugging the power and take out the battery for 5 minutes, plug both back in and try to turn it on. if the same problem repeats then it is most likely a hardware issue.

If you are in warranty contact acer or your dealer, you will have to send / ship the laptop to acer warranty repair, more details from acer or your dealer.

If you are outside of warranty, take the laptop to a local professional for a diagnosis and a repair estimate.

New laptop in Sept. this year. Just stopped

Friend, As your laptop is not even three months old, I would recommend that you do not try to open it and do some thing to it because you will loose the warranty. And warranty also requires you to go to Service Center. Please do that as Di it Yourself is recommended after warranty is over. But before you do that check the battery and the charger. If the charger is gone then the battery will not charge and hence the laptop will act as dead. Check the charger for correct amount of current. If that is fine then the battery may be faulty. But have you tried it while plugged into mains? If not then do that. The charger will send current direct to the laptop. But if it is faulty then it may not.

Not charging battery

this is simple, there are only two things tht can be wrong or faulty:
1. your charger is messed up, or it simple is not an original dell charger in wich case replacing the thing with an original D600 charger will fix it.

2. your battery is messed up and u may need a new one or its not an original

Mind you many parts of a dell are configured only to worked with same model and original pieces so make sure all the parts are real then if the problem persists, check (for the charger) when the wire is wriggled wether the little green light flickers if it does replace the charger if not try the laptop with somone elses battery to see if it works well if it does change batteries if not then its an internal wiring problem and the warranty will cover tht altough it is Highly unlikely that wiring problems will be present...
