Singer CE-350 bobbin thread tangled now grinding noise

Purchased new 3 weeks ago, bobbin thread case area tangled while in embroidery mode. Cleared all and oiled machine, now grinding noise in embroidery mode. Also flashes E4 code which is "Machine is locked up due to thread entangled with bobbin case or rotation ubterrupted forcibly" I have removed bobbin case again and made sure all dust has been removed, but the noise is concerning me. Holiday Projects I am currently working on are on hold for now.

Its advisable to replace the machine or call the service person at your place to make it proper as the machine is in warranty and this problem is included in warranty so dont worry.and dont try any thing else as if any thing goes broken/or physically damaged   you many loose warranty.

Make sure the thread is looped through and pulled back. And then, make sure the thread is looped around the machine, along with the tension. This problem usually occurs due to lack of tension.

Make sure both top and bottom threads are pulled toward back of machne and under foot before sewing. If the bobbin thread isn't visible to side of material, and if it gets underneath as you start to sew it will tangle it will make a birds nest. Helps if you hold both threads very lightly to side
as you make first few stiches, then let go. Good luck.

If you purchased the machine three weeks ago, find a way to have your money refunded, this is a repair that must be done by a technician and will cost money.

Contact Singer, it is also possible that the machine was defective from factory, if it has failed this soon. They will tell you what to do, or put in touch with technical support.

I have a ce 100 and the bobbin thread comes up and gets into my embroidery pattern. how do i loosen the top tension to stop this from happening. my purple flower has white in it from the bobbin :(

Just an FYI-the bobbin thread needs to match your top thread. The majority of the thread that appears in the top of your embroidery actually IS the bobbin thread. The machine is working correctly. Don't use a bobbin full of white thread-instead, thread a bobbin with the color your doing the embroidery work in to match and you will have a perfectly beautiful embroidery.

Mine is doing the same thing. It's pulling the thread up from the bobbin and making a huge knot. Any suggestions. I've done all the above checks. Brand new needle, tension is on embroidery, threaded properly and no lint in bobbin compartment.

Bobbin case is popping out, and machine is birdnesting

Usually when this happens the bobbin is in wrong, replace it make sure the thread is going out the right way, make sure there is no lint or small pieces of thread around or underneath the bobbin area. Make sure you thread it with the foot up. Also make sure you are usng the right bobbin for the machine. They can easy get mxed up.

Dear Wendy,

The E4, error message means the safety device is activated. Machine is locked up due to thread entangled with the bobbin case. Remove the needle plate and bobbin case. Check for any thread around the hook area. Also check your handwheel. It should turn freely. Good Luck

I am trying to do letter embroidery on my Futura 350 and I keep getting constant error messages about thread breaking even when there is no visible sign of that. Also, the bobbin thread side is bunching...

Check out your threading with "Machine setup" Tutorial under Help submenu and whether the thread tension control on the front panel is set to "E".

P.S. The error message about thread breakage appears not only when the thread is really broken but if the sewing speed is not changing smoothly (for example if design is not optimised).

Tangled bobbin thread

Okay. I had this problem too. try taking the bobbin casing out. I had a bit of thread lintg caught in a remote area of the under-plate area. Blow it out with canned air and oil your machine. That should help. It fixed mine.
