I am soooo frustrated - I got a new Fido # in June when I moved to Toronto. I have never been able to access my voice messages and I got so fed up of going round and round with new access codes when the system would not recognize my phone number, that I demanded a new phone number. Which was not easy to even get through to a supervisor - but finally I did.
I was told it would/could take up to 2 hrs for the new number to take effect. AND to top it all off, there was no guarantee that new number would solve the problem. It's now been over 4 hours!!! and you guessed it, I still don't have phone service!
There's got to be something I can do............I just can't help but see the whole cell phone thing as a complete rip off - overcharged and underserviced, but it's all I can do right now as I'm about to move. Once I do, I will gladly return to a landline. Please help!
