Question about Dell Inspiron 6400 Notebook
Every once in a while, usually with a 2second warning of a frozen screen and a muted clicking noise, my Dell shows me the BSOD. There's no obvious pattern in what causes it - it happens while I'm using Mozilla, Skype or Windows Media Player (individually or all at once - doesn't matter), and it doesn't happen at regular intervals, but nothing I do makes any difference - operating it on a flat surface, defragmenting the hard drive, cleaning up, updating all drivers... nothing makes any difference. I'm relatively computer literate, and would welcome any helpful advice!!!
There could be bad sectors on the hard drive, try to locate where the clicking sound is coming from and get back to me for a more definate answer an what to do about the problem.
Does the PC slow down or hang when the clicking starts?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
