Sounds like something is binding. Take a flashlight and look closely and be cautious that you don't damage anything

Thank you for your reply, on closer inspection the rhs locating pin on the drum wasn't able to come past the retaining clip, clip had stuck. eased it up with a screwdriver & drum came out easily. Cheers!

SOURCE: replace waste toner container message

I have a CLX-2160N and have just emptied my own waste toner container. (Disclaimer: not sure how toxic or environmentally friendly this is).
Emptied carefully and thoroughly (fine dust). Immersed in bowl of warm soapy water, and vigorous shaking to get nice and clean.
Shook all water out well, and dried off as much as possible. Reinstalled. Turned printer back on. Hey presto - seems happy.

Installing samsung clx6220 image unit

See page 103 of http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201112/20111205134621713/EN/English.pdf. It looks like the clx6220 uses a transfer belt to transfer all the different toner powders to the paper.
see
http://www.genuinetonercartridges.com.au/genuine-samsung-clp-620nd-clp-670nd-clx-6220fx-clx-6250fx-page-image-unit-transfer-belt.html
The transfer belt unit is refered to also as the image unit !
Also each toner cartridge contains the OPC drum and is replaced when you replace a toner cartridge by the look of it.
You need a transfer belt to transfer the image to the paper and this is why they call it an image unit.
I am guessing that the transfer belt needs replacement !

Replace imaging unit error i get on my Samsung CLP-315 laser printer. what do i need to do?

Finaly got it.
Pull out the four toner cartridges and also the drum unit , staying in front of the printer , on the right side of the drum unit, you will find a small box with two contacts.
You need to solder a 63ma ( worked for me) fuse in paralel with two rezistors that it contains. It is hold by a small klipp - it is easy to get it out. You also need to empty the waste toner behind the opc , drum or watever you call it . Restart the printer after putting alltogether.
The second solution is to buy a new one but its price talk for itself - close to a new printer :-)

Good luck.

How do i clean the developer unit & how do i get it out of the printer

To remove the imaging unit, you open the front panel. You will see the imaging unit, it contains the toner cartridge and waste toner tank. Pull on the green handle on the bottom to remove it. To clean the developer follow this link http://www.fixya.com/support/r4120906-clean_developer_blades_samsung_clp_300 Hope this helps you.

Samsung CLP-315W color problem. The toners are all about 50% but the pictures are coming out red and very little yellow. I have cleaned the inside and emptied the extra toner.

Here's something you can try. There was a model of Samsung color laser that had an issue with the cleaning blades in the toner cartridge or toner transfer roller assemblies.

There are two types. I believe yours uses a "classic" toner cartridge (rectangular with a toner transfer roller on one side and a metal plate almost touching the toner transfer roller).

The metal plate can be removed and the edges cleaned. When you remove it, inspect the edges. One edge is used to clean the excess toner from the roller as it turns. Very gently clean the edges with a soft cloth and some windex or alcohol. Reassemble and test.

The other type uses round drum shaped toner cartridges. These printers have a toner transfer assembly for each color inside the printer on the main image transfer unit. These toner transfer assemblies will also have metal plates on them which can be cleaned. They must first be removed from the toner transfer assembly, you may need a jewelers screwdriver to remove them.

Be careful, the cleaning edges of these metal plates can be very sharp.

My samsung clp-315w prints smudgy black lines

Cleaning my unit resulted in the solution of this problem. I removed the toner cartridges, the imaging unit, and the waste bin, opened the back door as well, and blew it out with "canned air". This will not solve all problems, but it is the right place to start. be careful to keep the imaging unit out of bright light when you you have it out of the printer.

New black toner cartridge for samsung CLP 315 (K4092) only working on one side of the page

Hi

It sounds like the fuser unit has issues and Samsung with the CLP 300 upwards seem to have issues like this all the time.

I would suggest contacting Samsung customer services to see if you can have the unit replaced free of charge.

Faded copies ,replaced toner cartridge, replaced waste toner container, cleaned inside printer

how long has the printer gone without maintenance? If your copies are still coming out light with new toner, it probably needs a new transfer roller or fuser or imaging unit.

Clp-510 waste toner cartridge

If the waste container has been emptied, make sure that the area that the waste toner sensor looks through is clean inside and out.

There was a problem with the sensor for the waste toner container. If still under warranty, an authorized servicer should repair free of charge.
