Question about Philips 42PF9631D 42 in. Plasma Television
My Philips Plasma 42PF9631D/37 will not turn on, the light goes from green to red and then blinks 7 times. The TV is only 2 years old, I have tried everything from unplugging to putting in code 062596 and then press menu button (do this in a quick motion, not letting it time out while keying). I have also heard that it could be a fuse, if so how much would it cost to replace? Any help in this matter would be great.
I own the same model. You have 1-2 Blown Capacitors. Take off the back cover, And look towards the center of the main power board. Look towards the center of this, and there are 2 capacitors side by side. You should see them swollen at the tops, even maybe a little black residue that has come out. I soldered on 2 new ones, and bingo! I would suggest replacing them both.
