SOURCE: Washing machine does not drain

does the water pour out when you put the drain hose close to the ground if it does then make sure your pump isnt blocked if it isnt then youll need to replace the pump most pumps have 3 little fins in them if you can stop those fins with a screw driver when pump is going then it deffinatley needs replacing as you cannot fix them sorry for the bad news m8

SOURCE: Whirlpool AWO/D 4605 Clean Pump light on, how do I

Remove bottom plastic panel across the front of machine- it just clips off (use a small screwdriver or bread knife to prise off). You will now see a round filter behind this panel- unscrew anticlockwise to remove- this is the filter. Sometimes filter can be hard to remove if you have things jammed in it- give it bit of a jiggle and it should come out without forcing it. Remember- if there is still water in the machine, this water will come out on the floor once you remove the filter- put down some towels!! Happy fixing!!

Won't drain (or spin)

It may be as simple as a clogged drain pipe. The sludge from the solid waste grinders in a lot of the new washers will coat and clog the tube.

My whirlpool ultimate care series washer does not drain and won't spin. what seems to be the problem?

Hi.

It is a drain problem. The machine timer won't advance to spin until it detects that drain is complete. For this reason the machine is also not spinning.

Check lid switch first, this is testted with a multimeter.
Ensure that the drain hose at the back is not clogged or kinked.
Access the drain pump and undo the hose attached to the pump, see if there is any blockage in there.
The pump can be fully tested by a technician energizing it directly.
If the drain system is fine check the pressure switch that detects when the drain is complete, this should not be the case.
If all the rest is OK, replace the control board.

You can find parts and diagrams for most models here.

Regards.

Have an oil leak(bad) on Whirlpool Model LSR7133KQO. Can gearbox be repaired by myself? Ordered seals, but having second thoughts on how much work involved!

This would be difficult to answer since it is case to case basis and the big factor would be the extend of the damage, the skill and the willingness of the person. Most of the time the seals are the culprits of such issues, damages on the metals that leads to leak would automatically require replacement or a professional's help. If it is just the seals, I would advise to take a digital cam and take shots for each stages so you would know how to put it back together.

NOT DRAINING

See if you have a sock in the inlet hose at water pump. You have a pressure switch that will not allow the machine to advance until the water has been pumped out.
