I think you want to change the operating system from vista to xp, simply re-install xp operating system and it will work but before doing that do check if your model supports xp or not...if it does then you can check for the driver from www.acerpanam.com

Yes you will get all the drivers here http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_4315.html However only Vista Premium and Vista Ultimate users can perform a direct downgrade. You can start a fresh installation from a bootable disk of WinXP. Be aware that this will replace the Vista with XP.
its visto computer only way to downgrade it to xp is to look for your drivers used in vista from manufacturers site to collect xp drivers. do get the drivers names u can use the acer download page to see what drivers for xp is needed.
it should autmatickly allocate the ram try taking out one module booting up windows shut down than put the other one in my acer aspire 4720z aka peace of **** only sees 1300 still so plez help if you figure how my email email@example.com plez
