My bantam 1000 interactive died

I was wondering if anyone had the same problem as me. The volume is so much lower than the radio. do I need a Pre Amp? is there such a thing?

You could try looking on a place like e-bay and possibly buy a replacement disk...

they apparently bought bantam's problems, but offer no other support. I hope you are not using vista, as it won't work.

Bantam no longer exists. They were bought out by GPX.
GPX has some support information such as manuals, but not the software.

Ignore the CD. It's useless.

Copy your music collection to driveLetter:\System\MUSIC folder.

A great tool you might want to look into is the HDDTool. It's for Philips HDD Audio Jukebox. However, I've used it successfully to refresh the database. You can find it at http://solonweb.free.fr/

It's a real nice little MP3 player.
