Question about Panasonic Diga DMR-EH75V DVD Recorder/VCR/HDD
After formating the disk. While starting the copy process the DVD recorder chuncked three times and said it was recovering. I took the disk out and tryed other disks but nothing works. It won't even play a disk. When there is not a disk in it, it still thinks there is a disk in it and try to read it. I held the power for 10 seconds to try to reset it to no avail. I held the stop and the channel up and it is now stuck on please wait. Thanks for any help you can give me.

We need to narrow down where the problem lies. Even without finalizing the disc, you should be able to play back the recording. Can you do this? If you can play back the recording, the problem exists in the finalization stage and we'll need to concentrate there. Pplease update this and we'll proceed to the next step.

I am so pleased to hear that you have restored the DMR E55 and for taking the trouble to let me know. It's always satisfying to achieve something like that and I guess you'll get even more pleasure from using it now than you did before. They are good machines and well worth the effort to keep them going.
Thanks again and kind regards
