You need the wireless signal receiver. Cordless mice and keyboards send out a signal that needs to be picked up by your computer. Most of these systems plug into your USB. Here's a photo: moondogwst75.jpg
It should look something like that device on the mid-right side of the photo. That device will pick up the signals. It plugs into your USB. I hope this helps!

There are adapters available on Ebay.com or your local computer store that can convert a USB port to a ps/2 mouse or keyboard plug and vice versa. Make sure your keyboard or mouse support this function, though.

It will go in one of two, either a USB port, or a purple (circular) PS2 port. The light green PS2 port is for a mouse.

Logitech MX3200 wireless keyboard and mouse

Hi...

You're probably going to need a Desktop USB Extension stand or cable if, I assume, you have your keyboard USB Receiver plugged into the back USB port of your desktop. These extension stands often come with your cordless devices (i.e., I got one with my Logitech cordless mouse... I don't need it for my laptop, but I do when using my desktop PC). You can make your own extension by purchasing a "Male-to-Female" USB extension cable, 3 to 6 ft in length (or longer if you need it). Plug the cable into your desktop, place the female end of the cable near where your keyboard is, and plug your keyboard USB receiver into the female USB socket of your extension cable.

Hope this helps!

V320 cordless opitical mouse for notebooks

Hi,

Yes, the cordless mouse will work on a desktop system, but because of the limitations in distance between the mouse and the USB transceiver, you will have to plug the transceiver into a USB port on the front of your system, or to a USB port on your keyboard or monitor if they have one.

You will also have to install the correct drivers on to the desktop system using the INSTALL CDROM that should have come with the V320 mouse.

Hope this helps!
