You will need to reprogram your camera,, go for the unit software master,, the problem of it is the program!,, reformat it, go to the technician, and additionaly recheck if ther is a virus or not.

I would send it back U aren't unlikely to get the info to repair it here, they most likely did not replace the part that was causing the problem, also are u skilled enough to take it apart, which by the way will void your warranty.

Have you tried taking the battery out and connecting again? Does the camera turn on?
Is the camera under warranty and did you get it warranty repaired or was it outside of warranty?
Its probably the same fault as last time.

Contact back the company and ask for a full replacement, the camera has not been repaired.

Contact the company by phone, and tell them that shortly after the repair you got the same fault. That means that the reapair from last time had been ineffective, insist to get a full replacement.

I do not think you can fix this with battery in/out. If the camera does not show any sign of life, then the problem is the ribbon cable that connects into the mainboard and carries power from batteryes, or from AC adapter.

If it was just the cable, it would have been replaced when you have sent the camera in for repair.

More likely the connector where you hook in the cable, that is located on the main board, is defective, and mainboard had not been replaced, as moving the cable it restarted to work.
That is a common situation, and may be the reason why the camcorder had gone faulty again.

If the camera was still under warranty when you did the fiorst repair, send it back and ask for a replacement. If warranty is expired ask a new repair, they may need to replace the main board.

I have a Panasonic SDR-T55P video camera. The battery seems to be good but the unit turns off immediately after the viewing window is open (red light is on for a few seconds). Any advice?

I have a JVC JY-HD10U video camera and it is from a surplus auction house. My problem is the unit displays light sources as green blobs or lines, and everything else is black. I know its not a problem...

Okay. One of my higher end Video camera's got the same problem after I filmed a gorgeous sunset for several minutes. Pointing at the sun for the extended time fried the camera lens and the sensors. (I knew better, but the beauty of the sunset made me a little crazy, and I just kept filming it.)

I called the camera company (in my case it's Sony), sent it in, and they are fixing and refurbishing the camera. It will be in "like new" condition when it comes back. The repair for mine is over $200 (closer to $300, actually).. but is well worth the investment, and I expect to have good performance from it for several more years, as opposed to spending a few thousand to replace it.

Camcorder will not turn on.

I'm not a technician, but we just sent our AG-DVC7 to a repair shop. For $45.00 they told me the CCD Unit and the CCD board were bad. they wanted $250.00 for parts alone. The camera is 8 yrs. old and I don't see a $400-500 repair as a good investment, as the new unit is only $1000.00

Best Buy Warranty and Repair Problems

Well Best Buy is not going to re-imburse you for sending it to canon because that was your call. Also when they made the mistake the first time and the second time you brought it you should have just told them to send it to the store, and you should have checked in the notes to make sure they specifically typed in to return the tape with the product.... also you should have risksed it with Best Buy because on the 4th time they send a product out to service it normally is deemed a lemon, in which you would of got a new one. They will not take into consideration that you sent it to canon as the 3rd time or fourth time, however many times its been.

first check the iris of the camera if it is opening, you will see this when you look inside the lens of the camera when you turn on and off the switch at camera mode if the iris is opening....if the iris is ok the second problem may occurs of your camera is the ccd image sensor....go to a sony service center for replacing that...i know it is free for replacing that sensor cause that is the recall product not only on sony but in other brand because the manufacturer of their sensor is only one company..

if you havent found a solution already, basically it means your camera is screwed up and has dirt or something inside it. so you have to take it to a service centre. :)
