Turn radio on push set button within 3 seconds push volume button use tuner button to turn hour up or down then push volume once more to change to minutes then use tuner to set minutes then turn radio off then back on clock should now be set

When i try to play a cd it tells me to reset the cd how is this done


is your cd player aftermarket or oem if oem look in owners manuel u will have to do a soft reset on the radio if not disconect positive battery terminal and hit the power button a few times wait 2 min and replace cable.

Turn ignition or accessory on with the key. Turn the radio off. Pull the scan button to set hours. Pull the seek button to set minutes.

I do not know where you live but wher i am are a chain of outlet stores called princess auto and they sell a small blue box of radio removal tools which work on almost every car on the market it is only around 10 bucks for the set and I would think you could purchase same at some auto parts stores if in US the chain icannot reember similar to PA is Harbor something or other cannot remember but it sells almost same stuff you can try one of them I will ask my friend the name he goes there whenever he goes south You can contact me at sully1950@live.ca and I will get you the name ...good luck in the meantime

How do install a 1998 toyota camry radio into a 1990 car?


Just use the install guide with the property plug connections:
- Uninstall Toyota Camry 1999-2000
- Install Toyota Camry 1987-1991

For reference to Toyota radio wire harnesses, review this wiring diagram for 1987 and Newer

Setting the time


PRESS THE 'SEL" BUTTON MORE THAN TWO SECONDS AND THEN WITH THE KNOB VOLUME CHANGE SET HOUR THEN PRESS THE FORWARD BUTTON TO SET THE MINUTES WITH THE KNOB VOLUME THEN PRESS SOURCE.

push and hold the clock button until the hrs flashes then use tuning button to change numbers or if your radio had 2 small pen tip buttons that read hrs & min pushing these with a pen tip will set the clock

KENWOOD SECURITY CODE CLEAR procedure


Your radio will require one of the following procedures.

Type 1
During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds (so that “…” disappears).
Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 2
Press the "Auto" button and "Track up" on face of radio at the same time. The four dash lines ( . . . . ) should "disappear".

Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 3
Model# DPX-4020 and DPX-4030
Press and hold the 1 then the 6 preset key (preset keys are the buttons on face of radio for storing you "favorite" radio stations). "C" should display.
Then using your remote, enter your code.


Enter your number from the remote control unit. Your code number is 5227 (KCAR)

* Press numeric key “5” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 3 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 1 time ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “7” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key

The security is canceled and the set enters the TUNER mode!
