Same as above - unit just says "Please Wait"

Myapearl, I had the same problem with my first unit, right out of the box. Called Pioneer techs and they instructed me to return. Took seven weeks to get the replacement.

The second unit I have had for about four months. Just as of today, it will not shut off and it says on the screeen "Powering Up...". I am beginning to question the integrity of this device.

Bought mine tonight at Best Buy. Had it on, charging, activated my new XM account and after about an hour it shut off. It's still charging the battery and the unit gets hot but still doesnt come on. Guess I'll be taking it back to BB tomorrow.

Just off the phone with Pioneer customer service. Apparently a "software glitch" common enough that an internal memo has gone out to replace units under warranty without further trouble shooting. The last step in the process was to remove the battery, place in the original charging cradle without the battery, and hold the power switch down for 10-15 seconds; if the "Please Wait" message continues, the unit is defective.

BS. A time stamp scam in the OS by XM and Pioneer to get you to renew your subscription to services. How many others after three or more months have experienced this anomalie?

My Pioneer Inno wont stay powered up.

Your battery could be at end of life depending on how long you have had it. I know pioneer are pretty good with warranties so if you have had it for 12 months or less contact pioneer and ask them if its viable for a warranty replacement. Or even take it back to the place you bought it from. You may be able to take it to an electronics store to test your battery charge capacity as well.

ITeddy Battery Problem

When I first bought the iTeddy we did not check whether it works or not, wished we did! 2 months later when we gave it to our daughter for her birthday, it didn't work! Battery was flat and would not charge. Only worked if you plugged the unit into a USB Port to get the power. We'll searching around I could not find anyone talking about changing the battery. I went to Jaycar (electronics store) and found replacement iPod batteries. They were the same voltage (3.7V) and mAh (900mAh). I bought it in hope it would work, and YES it did! Charges up too! The battery was a "little" bigger, but that didn't concern me, but if it does you then maybe try a 3.7v with a lower mAh and that will fit. You will need to cut the wires and match the red with the red and the black with the black of the battery. Make sure you keep the plug of the iteddy so you can take the battery out by unplugging it. I used a soldering iron to fuse the wires together. Good luck!

My ipod menu button doesnt work so i cannot reset my ipod, and since i cant do that it doesnt hold a carge.. my computer doesnt even regonize it, it says its charging but when i take it off its not ev

With hardware issues like this you will most likely want to get the unit serviced or replace it. If the buttons are bad, then basically the whole ipod is broken as well

Sylvania smp 2002 cant load any music on it

Push in the USB cable all the way into the player. It will only plug in halfway when you first try it, go ahead and jam it in. will work fine after that.

Battery expanded leading to spliting of covers apart.

it seems that you are the unlucky recipient of a battery that has built up a lot of excess gas from charging to quickly or to hotly the only thing is get a new battery but even though i looked i cant find a battery. You might tell coby about it.

Broke!

Try manually reseting the player:

press and hold the Select button while pressing the Volume Up (+) buttons simultaneously.

Also, after doing so, try connecting it to the computer, and leaving it for about 5 mins to see if you can get a charge. Then turn it on, if that works, you just need to charge your battery.

if that doesn't work, return and exchange it since you just bought it.

Doesnt work

If you bought your mp3 player less than a year ago or if you bought a warranty then just contact sandisk and they will fix if for you if they can and if they cant then i think they will just replace it for you.
