This might be it. On the bean container there is a white dart and the word 'align'. The same dart and word appear on the top of the grinder. Align the two darts and the bean container should drop right in.

Have a grinder and it is full of coffee and stuck. It seems the beans were more oily and now I am trying to figure out how to clean it out. Please help

  • Try to grind all the beans through.
  • Put some uncooked rice inside the hopper and grind it, it is very good at cleaning if you don't have Grindz. Get Grindz if you can to grind and clean the burrs.
  • Try to take the grinder apart and brush off and clean off the burrs by hand.

Hmm, I have Capresso Infinity Burr Grinder #560, and I accidentally placed the upper burr back in upside down. Now it is stuck. I do not see the "black section with a long slot" around the blade.

Yes! I had the same issue with putting the burr in upside down and then twisting it an effectively "locking" it in there incorrectly. I tried the "knife" solution that worked for some people here, but it was placing the bean container back on and twisting counter clockwise that did the trick!

So glad I found this thread and didn't give up trying to fix my burr grinder (which we love).

Thanks to jaybayca!

I accidentally placed the upper burr in upside down. Now it is wedged in and I can't get it out. Any suggestions?

I've posted this in a few other places on this site (there are many ways to ask the same question), but try putting the clear bean container back on and untwisting as if to unlock it -- the problem isn't just that we put the upper burr in upside down, but then we locked it into place with the bean container. Grinder doesnt grind beans although the motor works and the burr spins. I have cleaned it per the instructions and reassembled . Everything seems to fit together properly, but the beans don't seem to be...

I would suspect a log in the outlet shute where it goes into the grinds hopper. Clean it out and then turn the hopper to the coarsest setting to clean it out all together. Coarse grinds are a very good cleaner.

Severe clogging

Try using long grain white rice works better than minute rise, if that does not help, then the burrs need to be replaced on grinder.

Embarassing but...

No, wait, I found it. If it's round and is (or used to be) white, it fits on the bottom of the clear plastic hopper. Replace it and you should be in good shape again.

Grinder is slipping.

  1. take out bean container
  2. disassemble 3 philips screws and take plastic out
  3. rotate the knob to try to get out the upper holder of burr. if it does not rotate than disasemble the knob and the gears(plastic big one is attached to upper holder of grinder, the other is together with knob.
  4. tru to rotate it manualy, with help of extra srews puted in gear holder holes.
  5. when you get it out, carefuly clean it, look for metal parts and stones(wich sometime comes with coffee)
  1. turn on the grinder and attach gently one marker to lower burr during spining. after you stop grinder, look if it is perfect circle marked in burr. if it is not than marked side is higher. you should consider getting it ok by putting adhesive paper under lower burr and check it again.
good luck and carefuly.
