Toe Panel Clips Missing and How To Vent Dryer To Outside

Hi.

We are wondering how to attach the front bottom panel to our KenmoreUltraFabrtic care dryer (Heavy Duty 90 Series). The Toe Panel is also not attached.. perhaps there are clips missing?

Question Two:
How To Vent Our Dryer To the Outside Correctly?
We have lint built up and moisture in our home and wonder if you might have a diagram that would help us understand?

Thank You!

How do I disassemble my dryer?

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You'll Need:

* Putty Knife
* Screwdriver

*
Step1
Unplug the dryer and move it away from the wall. This will provide work space around the dryer.
*
Step2
Open the lint trap door and remove the two screws with a screwdriver. Pull out the lint screen.
*
Step3
Remove the console by unscrewing the four screws that connect it to the top. With the screws removed, disconnect the wiring harness and set the console aside.
*
Step4
Insert a putty knife between the top and front panel 2 inches from the corner. Press in to release the holding clip and pull up on the top panel to remove it from the clip.
*
Step5 With your hands, lift up on the corner to disengage the top from the remaining holding clips. Set the top aside.
Step6 There are two screws at the top of the front panel that secure it to the side panels. Remove the two screws with a screwdriver.
Step7. If equipped with a toe panel, insert a putty knife at the top center of the panel. Press in and release the retaining clip and pull the toe panel off by hand.
Step8. Place boards underneath the front of the drum. The boards will keep the drum in place when removing the front panel. Remove the front panel by swinging the top out and lifting it to remove from the bottom tabs.
Step9. The rear panel is removed by unscrewing the attaching screws from the side panels and bottom with a screwdriver. The dryer is now disassembled and all parts are accessible

How do I clean the lint from the dryer past the lint trap?

you need to unplug the dryer, then with a putty knife stick it in between the top panel and the front panel and there are clips one on each side that you release with the putty knife and remove the front panel or you could have two 5/16 inch screws on the bottom of the front panel but i believe your model has the clips, when you remove the front panel you need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, vac out the inside cabinet where the motor is,put it back together then pull out the dryer and remove the vent line from the rear,if it's a long run to the outside you can stick a leaf blower inside the vent line and blow all the lint out to the outside hood, before you blow it out go outside and make sure the hood is clear then blow out the line,

How do I open the front of my GE DBL333EA0WW dryer to get to the bearing?

Hello- First, BE SURE the dryer is unplugged, and then be sure again. If you are referring to the front felt bearing with the 3 teflon glides then you will need to release the two retaining clips that attach the top the the front. They are located under the front of the lid a couple inches in from each side. The best tool is a putty knife or something a flat paint scraper. Place the tool between the top of the front panel and the lid and pry up a little bit in order to see the clips, they are about an inch wide. You have to press hard right into in (its like a flat metal spring) and pry up at the same time and the lid should release. Repeat on the other side. They can be a bit tricky but just don't force it too much. Once the clips are released the top hinges towards the back. There should be a wiring harness that goes to the timer and switches and one that goes to the door switch, these have plastic connectors that should separate them as a unit so you can remove the front panel. There is one screw on each outside edge near the top of the interior of the front panel that holds it to the main dryer cabinet, take these out and pull the front panel forward and up and the panel should separate itself from the cabinet. You have to be careful when you put the front panel back on that it slides in on the bottom retainer clips and that the top of the drum is positioned correctly over the felt on the front panel. Just don't force anything. Hope this helps, best regards.

No heat, vent clear if i remove toe panel can i see ignitor how do i remove toe panel?

check thermal fuse in back near exhaust. or on top of burner tube. if your dryer has a toe panel there are 2 clips on either side at the top that you can release with a putty knife. if no panel you have to take off the whole front. If ignitor glows and no ignition replace the valve coils.

How do you take the access panel off the bottom of the dryer to clean out the build up. There are two clips at the top of the panel below the door section. How can I remove the access/kick panel to clean...

Insert a putty knife about two inches in from each side (where the toe panel top seam meets the dryer front) to release the clips. With the clips released, the toe panel will open from the top and can be removed. You may want to also remove the air blower cover and clean inside the duct chute and the squirrel cage motor to ensure it is also free of lint. You will need to remove the lint filter BEFORE removing the cover or you will have difficulty removing it. If you have any questions, please post back with your MODEL NUMBER. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: Make sure you UNPLUG the dryer PRIOR to servicing anything inside the cabinet. Dangerous voltage is still present even with the unit shut off.

How to secure gas dryer bottom panel to old Whirpool dryer

Should be two metal clips on bottom front of dryer that the panel slides onto and two clips on top of front panel that click in.

Here is a pic of the clip that goes on the bottom of the front of dryer in which the panel slides on.

Blows cold air and produces little lint in the vent

To get a rear control LG dryer apart: Open door and remove two phillips head screws at the 5 and 7 o'clock positions. Use a putty knife to release the clips holding the top panel to the dryer front by pushing the clips in at the seam of the dryer top and front, a couple inches in from each side. Swing top back. Remove two phillips head screws at the top, allowing front panel to pull forward. Unplug drum light and door switch and drum sensor plugs, allowing front panel to be completely removed and set aside. Now, look at the burner area at the lower right. Behind the gas valve you will find a small (about dime sized) high limit thermostat on the left side of the burner cone. It has two wires attached and has a small pin in the center of it. (Only on gas models) Push the pin in.
Now, if that get's you ignition again, CORRECT VENTING ! Get rid of flexible vent material. (use only rigid aluminum vent pipe and elbows) Clean out vent pipes and outside vent hood. Outside vent hood should be the kind with a four inch flap for the opening, not a two inch flap. Tripping of the high limit thermo is almost always caused by inadequate air flow.

Kenmore dryer...How to remove toe panel to clean lint out.

Insert a putty knife into the seam where it meets the front panel about 2 inches in from each side. There is a small retainer clip that you will need top depress in order for the panel to release. If you go to searspartsdirect.com and enter your model number, you can find a helpful illustration under the "Cabinet" heading. The clips I mention are listed as item 46 just ot give you a perspective. I would also strongly recommend that you UNPLUG the dryer before cleaning the interior cabinet. There are live voltages present even with the dryer turned off. Particulary around the heating circuits. I hope you find this information helpful.
