Question about Zyxel P-334WT Router (91003155003)

Can I completely delete the memory from my Zyxel P-334WT router?

I want to know how to completely delete the memory from my Zyxel P-334WT router. Is it as simple as resetting the button on the back of the unit or what do I need to do? I also want to know where I can view the history on the memory. I want a fresh start and cannot afford to go out and buy a new router. Can you help me make my existing router almost new?

Hi there, in short yes. the reset button on the back will delete all the info on the router however a short press will not. What you will need to do is hold the button down for a good 20 second.... if this does not work then pull the power lead out and push it back in with the reset button pushed in, again for a good few second. Now to view all setting on the router before hand open your web browser up and in the top address bar type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 the access code for your router varies on the make but can usually be found in the manual.when asked for a user-name and password just enter those (usually the user-name is ADMIN & the password is PASSWORD or also ADMIN. anyway you shold then be able to view the log and all settings.... hope this help ....Tony A

This router should be reset to factory defaults from within the firmware, not by pressing the reset button.

After doing the reset, all settings will be cleared, the password will be reset to "1234", the ipaddress will be reset to 192.168.1.1. When you log on the first time, you will be prompted to enter a new password.

P334wt no longer making consistent wireless connections

This model supported with OpenWRT, but w/o wifi. Wifi is still in testing mode only. And due to low memory it will be have a problems via periodicaly reboot's and low performance if use pptp or l2tp protocols. Its seems better will be replace it with some other SOHO routers.

Linksy router lem....!!!!

Try the following to reset it to the factory defaults.

Warning! This will reset all the settings in the router! Including any custom setup stuff, like WPA key, etc.

Turn the router on. Press and hold the reset button on it for 30 seconds. The reset button is usually a small recessed button on the back of the unit depending on which model you have.

Now you should be able to connect to it through your browser at http://192.168.1.1. Depending on your model, the username is blank and the password is "admin" (without the quotes) OR both username & password are "admin". Note that you will need to connect your computer to the router with a network cable to go through the setup process - you can't do it wirelessly.
