Download ncleaner

http://www.nkprods.com/ncleaner/

i use it for cleaning up my computer but after you install it you can click on the far right button concerning 'startup items'
uncheck boxes for programs such as messenger, skype, 4od, iplayer, limewire, utorrent etc but do not uncheck any programs that you are not sure of what they do. most slow boots are to do with people installing programs and not unchecking the box that says 'run when windows starts'.
there is a method for deleting 'prefetch' in startup too, but i would suggest you try the first method i mentioned first, as the 'prefetch' option can cause all sorts of problems if you are not 100% sure what you are doing..
ncleaner is a great program anyway, you should definitely use it to clean up your computer, although when i first ran it, it deleted everything in My Received Files, so copy everything out of there to somewhere else first. :)
good luck
chris

Problems with dell laptop slow operating too many downloads????

You can download everything until you have free space on HD drive. But you need at least 20 (minimum) percent of free space on disc for operating system.
That model usually have installed 80Gb hard drive and it is very good laptop and if you want to upgrade that laptop just replace disc with bigger one and add more ram memory (2Gb).

Inspiron e 1505 does not turn' on

It could be a couple of things, but it seems most likely that it is the RAM Memory that is causing this.  You might need to add more.  I have seen this before with one of my customers, we upgraded his ram from 1.5 to 2 gbs, and his games/windows no longer crashed

Dell Inspiron 1300 Keyboard Lag

There is a program that is bundled with Dell machines called the Dell Media Experience. It runs on startup and has been known to cause issues with keyboards and typing speeds etc..... I found that by turning this off via MSConfig the problems associated with my keyboard went away.
Hope this helps.
Start - Run - MSconfig - Start up - Untick PCMService. O.K and restart.

Dell XPS M140 Very Slow In Booting Up and General Use

Run a check disc, or hard drive test in the bios, if any part of the test fails, then the hard drive is failing and will need replaced. Delete anything from the start up section of the start menu/programs, and download and run CCleaner form filehippo.com, it will help keep your computer clean and running fast/smoother. Also, are you using Norton? If so, remove it and use the AVG. You can find it at File Hippo as well.
