Anyone having problems getting their MagicJack setup(which literally sets itself up...most of the time, hehe), check and see if the "time" down in your taskbar is correct. May sound like it has nothing to do with MagicJack but I know of numerous cases where the user did everything correctly but the time on their computer was incorrect. Fixing the time immediately fixed ther problem.

I have the same problem. "Warning you must plug magic jack into USB port". The solution is to format the removable disc that is associated with your Magic Jack and then after the format is completed, click on the Magic Jack icon in My Computer before closing it. Do not close My Computer and click on Magic Jack on desktop as this will cause the same problem to repeat itself. I have to reformat Magic Jack everytime I use it. Remember only click on Magic Jack icon in My Computer not on the desktop. This should solve your problem. But the real cause is a defective Magic Jack device and poor customer support.

For some of you running the "Microsoft FixIt" program may work, it worked for me a few times, but is no longer fixing my problem, back to the drawing board for me, I don't mean to sound satanical or anything, but I'm ready to rip the heart out of the little girl that named her dogs after this shoddy piece of engineering, she pops up every time I get the error and its more than a little annoying at this point...
FixIt can be found here:
run the fix it utility, restart your computer, format the "PHONE" drive, then run the upgrade found here:
Like I said, it worked for me a few times, but not anymore...

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
