Re: hi all.. i have a problem.

No signal means the monitor is not detecting a signal from the video card. Can you give us a little history about what lead to the problem?

I purchased my Norcent computer monitor four years ago. Now, the sub-menu Contrast/Brightness selection keeps popping up on my screen. So, I have to either push the #1 button to Exit or the #2 Adjust...

It seems to be a hardware issue with the buttons. They are stuck or the rubber cushion under the button has gone bad. That's the reason they are getting pressed automatically. You may take to a local store for a small repair.

My monotor its all black but u can

This should be an (LCD) screen. They are the ones that usually have this kind of problem. You will need to take it to have it checked if the problem is the VGA signal cable leading to the monitor. They will check if it is properly connected or has gone bad. It is very unlikely that the screen is bad. When this VGA signal cable goes bad it could result in a totally blank screen.

Hi this is the way how to examine what's wrong with your LCD monitors. After you turned it on and the screen blacked out, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. Hope this help!! If anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know.
Thank you,

Screen Adjustment

On your monitor at the bottom there is 3 buttons. The one all the way to the left is the "menu" button. The next one (going right) is the "NEGATIVE" button. The next one (going right) is the "POSITIVE" button.

You can move your screen around. First, start by pressing the menu button. Then, a menu in blue, with a bunch of little white icons will appear. Next, go over two icons by pressing the positive button twice. Then, proceed to push in the "menu" button again. A bar will appear. By pressing your negative button, your screen will move left. Pressing your positive button will make your screen move right. Adjust your screen until the black on both sides are of even proportion. Then, press the menu button to return to the orginal menu you started at. Proceed to press your positive button two more times. Then, press your menu button. Then, once again, use your positive button, and your negative button to adjust your screen to even out the black on the top and bottom.
