Question about IBM ThinkPad 560 E Notebook
I Want to embed A CD ROM in My Notebook whose model no. is:
Product Name: P-166 THINKPAD 560E 16RAM 2.1GB HD - PARTS
Mfg : IBM
Mfg Part # : 2640-40U
IBM 2640-40U P-166 THINKPAD 560E 16RAM 2.1GB HD - PARTS
Pentium 166 MHz ,
Is It possible?
The 560E is a good solid, basic and somewhat limited (by today's standard) laptop. In it's time, it was one of the best available. Unfortunately, the 560E was developed a few years prior to CD readers being installed into laptops. As such, there is no accommodation for such a device. You could look into attaching an external device, but I don't remember the 560E even having a USB post.
Not the info that you were hoping for, but hope it helps. Have included a link to all kinds of 560E information, including the maintenance manual, below in the hopes that it may prove to be of some use to you.
Have a super day!
