Yes there is! There is a special mounted bed specifically for windows. I have one for my cat and he loves it - spends his whole day on it practically. I will send you some information on where to buy one. This is the bed that I have; however there are plenty to choose from.

What features should I look for when buying a bed for my cat?

Before buying a bed for your cat, make sure the bed meets the following standards: ā€¢ - The bed is big enough for the cat to stretch out comfortably. ā€¢ - The bed should be easily accessible for the cat. This means that the sides are not too high and the cat can get in and out of the bed easily. ā€¢ - The materials of the bed should be comfortable. ā€¢ - The materials of the bed should be durable and withstand the sharp claws of the cat. ā€¢ - The bed is washable (machine or hand-washed).

Does it matter what size bed I buy for my cat?

The of your cat's bed should be relevant to the cat's . It should be big enough for the cat to be able to turn back and forth, stretch fully, and lay down comfortably. But make sure the bed is not too big or the cat will not feel secure.

Does the decor of cat furniture matter?

That is really a personal choice. You can create your own if you have a specific style you are wanting to achieve. Most of the material you should be able to get at Home Depot or other home improvement store.

Personally, for just a couple small pieces I do not think it matters. Some people on the other hand will want it all matching with their home.

What really matters is, are your cats using it? If they are not, then it does not matter how good it looks. :-)

What kind of bed do I need for a very old and inactive cat?

Older cats need a warm, comfortable bed in a draught-free area of the house where they can sleep safely and not be disturbed. Keep in mind that they may need to stretch out, so get a bed best suited to your cats individual needs.

I can't get my cat to sleep in the bed I bought her. It is so comfortable, yet she doesn't seem to want to go to it. What can I do?

Unfortunately comfort is not what will get the cat to the bed (although it may keep it there). The trick to getting your cat to go to its new bed is location. Look for a quiet place with not too much foot traffic from family members, but in view of household activities.

I live in Ottawa and during the winter months it gets extremely cold. My cat needs a warm place to sleep. Can anyone suggest a type of bed that would be best suited to by situation?

I have the perfect solution for you - a radiator hammock cat bed. This bed connects to the radiator in your home giving your cat a comfortable and warm place to rest.

You can buy one at most specialty pet stores or online at one of these locations:

What factors do I need to consider when buying a bed for my cat?

There are several factors to keep in mind when buying a cat bed. First is size. It should be large enough for your cat to stand in and turn around with ease, but snug enough to be cozy and secure for your cat. Second is warmth. Enclosed beds hold the heat in much better than open beds. Comfort should be an obvious factor in bed selection. Lastly, you will need to consider methods of cleaning. Try to get a bed that is machine washable since you will need to clean the bed frequently.

Do I need to buy a bed for my cat?

It is not necessary; however most cats spend an average of 15 hours a day sleeping, so it might be a worthwhile investment.
