I'm sorry to hear about your crashed drive. I hope this information helps you with the recovery that lays ahead.
Microsoft includes the Product key with the documentation that camewith the install CD. Usually on one of the sturdier section covers. But if you cannot find it, you would not be the first. If it has been lost there is a remedy. I can only point you in the right direction though. Productkey replacement is done solely through Microsoft. Finding the rightplace to do it can be daunting. Here's how to cut through the red tape,most of it anyhow:

On the left side, under the second 'More Information' header, click on 'Replacement Product Key'.
