or....2nd solution is that you have the driver installed but you have a program of Acer controlling the WIfi card. Check in Control Panel-> Network connetctions if a Wireless Network adapter exists and is disabled.

You can get the wireless drivers in the laptop itself. U need to type in the start search as recovery manager and when the window is opened, click on the advanced options and select the option hardware driver installation. Search for the sound driver and select it and it get re-installed. drivers the reboot your computer and the reinstall your wireless driver ,then go to the control panel go to internet options then to connetions then scrow down to lan settings the put a check in atuomatically detect settings the apply then ok . the reboot your computer then set up your wireless for connections for your house and it should work ...... lala linda
