Unfortunately for you, you didn't follow the Acer instructions. The recovery disc must be created before you start using the computer or making modifications.
There is a remote possibility that if you go into control panel and click on 'restore' and go back to the earliest date, you can then run the recovery disc. Remember that this only a remote possibility and I make no promises.
As you can see from the figure, recovery partition can be seen in the Disk Management but it can't be accessed. unless you give or assign a lettter to that partition using Diskpart and run as an admin. you have to clone the original hard drive from your Laptop to have a recovery menu. you can create your own recovery.
use windows vista home premium cd
boot using windows vista cd
after setup run chose repair your computer this option will detect your previous windows
it will direct you to system recovery option and this process wil automaticly repair and restore you system, wait and follow the instruction until finish
You can use a torrent site like isoHUNT, to download a copy of the Acer OEM vista disc, this is a little illegal, but if you use your own Windows key from your COA sticker, it should register and activate ok.
You may have to download your drivers seperatly from from ACER.
You will need a torrent client like UTorrent, and the download could take a day or so
Hi Acer supply the restoration files in a hidden partition on your hard drive. If it is the same as mine try this. Start the pc, then while the Acer logo is showing, press ALT & F10 at the same time. Then just follow the instructions. Bear in mind that this will format your C drive so you should do a backup of any important data first. Hope this helps.
