Hi,
Try opening the tray when the sytem is not turned on, how you can do that is take a paper clip straighten the pin straight up to 4 inches then insert that in the pin hole located under the cd tray which is not getting opened. Push the paperclip in till the tray dont come out. once the tray is out then take the cd out which is stuk in there. This should resolve the issue

First, try this:- Go to my computer>properties>hardware>device manager and look down the list for your cd/dvd drives and click the '+' sign then highlight your dvd drive and right click to delete. Restart the pc and windows will find the drive again automatically and install the drivers. If that doesn't work, take off the side of the pc and and look to the back of your burner. You will see an ide cable connected to the back, either try a new cable or try the cable that is connected to the hard disk drive, as there will be another connector available. If you do use the burner on the same cable as your HDD then you will have to set the jumper on the back of the burner to slave. It could be a bad cable or faulty ide motherboard connection.

Code 19 error indicating corrupted registry. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing works. I have the same problem with my memorex DVD ROM/CD RW drive. I think Norton 360 trashed my registry

yeah, if your registry has been trashed. you should use some registry defrag tools to fix it. I know a <a href="http://www.system-tools-software.com/free-registry-defrag/">free registry defrag</a>, you can look for it and have a try. Good luck!

Not detecting any discs, any ideas why?

Need to install or update driver for it. Go to Control panel- System files- find and click hardware tab, then open device manager and see if your lite on cd is there and if your connected to the internet click update driver. If it wasn't there then your need to find the software or driver for it.
Go to this site and select at category optical storage. then select your model number and download and execute

Tray will not eject on LTR 16102B CD-RW

Most likely due to a worn belt. You can use a paper clip in the manual eject hole while pressing the button repeatedly to get it open. The belt or the drive will need to be replaced.

Installer

Depending on your opearating system CD-WRITER LITE-ON LTR - 52327S and any other cd writer lite- on are plug and play devices which does not need an installer.

All you need to do is properly connect your CD writer on your pc while your machine is off, when you turn on your computer it should be displayed under my computer.

If its not shown under my computer window then its either.
1. Your device is not properly connected
2. Your device have a power fauilure problem
3. Your cabling is faulty

If your device is connected but does not function properly you can
1. update your driver

CD-RW Problem

There some few tips you can try. Power down the computer then open the cd tray by inserting a sharp object in the small hole near the tray. Look for this hole, then using the sharp object push it pretty hard. With the other hand try to pull the tray out. Once you've pulled it power on the computer (with the cd-rw's tray opened) and watch what the cd-rw is actually doing now. If after it retracts the tray it is doing the same, you will need to dissasemble it. If you are willing to try this, please post another message and also specify there what did the cd-rw drive do when you've applied the method i've told you before.
