I cant logon to my profile - Toshiba Satellite A205-S4617 Notebook

    can you logon to the admin profile? if so go to control panel and go to user profiles. turn of user access control and reboot.
    you should be able to access you logon now. reset your password and it should work. maybe need another reboot. hope this helps.

Occasionally a Windows profile will become corrupt. You may need to create a new profile. Then, you can copy any documents, music, etc. from the old profile. This happens at work and we have to rename the old profile so the user can log back in to the computer.

Won't log in, says "the User Profile Service service failed the logon. User Profile cannot be loaded."


This is a simple fix that can be done in a few minutes or less. It is a problem with either an update from MSFT that had gone awry or an attack from a virus... Anyhow the steps to take are relatively simple just follow along.

You picked up a virus that has removed and deleted the user profile page and windows will go no further. All you can do is install a new OS after copying your data files to another computer.

Cant login


Restart your computer in safe mode. To do this first power it down wait 10 seconds. Locate the F8 key; press power button an start tapping F8 key. This will bring you to a screen with many options. Choose safe mode. This is a limited mode but many things can be fixed including your profile. Option 1. Go to control panel user accounts. Here you can add an account. Option 2 Delete your account (make sure there is another account you can log into prior to doing this) Go to start->computer right click then click properties. In system properties click advanced tab. Under user profiles click settings. In the User Profiles dialog box, select the profile that you want to delete, click Delete, and then click OK. Click Start, type regedit in the Search box, and then press ENTER. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
      Right-click the SID that you want to remove, and then click Delete.
  1. Log on to the computer and create a new profile.

My acer when I log on says user profile service failed the logon user profile cannot be loaded


use F8 and go into sfae mode, this will load a default profile and will allow you to add a new user (to create a new profile).
Then you can logon in using the new profile.

CAN'T LOGON ....SAYING .....THE USER PROFILE SERVICE service failed the logon .user profile cannot be loaded ...never had problem before ...normally type in password and it loads ..


this may be a corrupted file for taht particular user thats causing the problem why cant you try opening the other user profiles or if you cant access that too then try turning on your pc and when the list of user profiles appear press ctrl+alt+delete key in and order but you should keep allthree keys down like how you would keep the shift button down while typing an upper case....now when you press all three down a small dialogue box will appear requesting username and password in the username box type administrator and click login no password required after it logs in create a new profile from the control panel but don't use this user profile again because if this gets corrupted then you would have to format your computer.....formating it will delete all the data stored on your pc.....

L350-170 Logon Failure


Sounds like profile corruption or virus problem. Try restarting the machine and tapping f8 until menu appears. Go into safe mode then logon as administrator. If you can get into windows, go to control panel then user accounts. Create new user account then restart machine. Log on using new user account and copy all personal files/folders to new user account.
