The serger jammed while I was going over a particularly thick area. One of the needle threads also broke. I re-threaded all 4, starting from right to left & now no chain is forming. The serger also seems to be making more noise than it did before. What should I do?!? Thanks!
You may have re-threaded in the wrong order. The correct order is upper looper, lower looper, right needle, left needle. So 3,4,2,1 (if numbering left to right)

mine just did the same thing - i opened it up (you have to remove the light) and it's a small plastic piece that seems to be just glued into place to lift the pressure foot when it rotates... a bit disappointing - i will try glueing it back but i don't know if it will last for long. i am very disappointed!!!
SOURCE: how do you thread a 1034D serger?
Hi
I found the manual on the Brother site.
http://www.brother-usa.com/ModelDocuments/Consumer/Users%20Manual/UM_1034D_ENES_178.PDF
Look at page 21 onwards of the PDF file for info on threading the machine.
Hope this helps!
