Question about Polar F11 Heart Rate Monitor

Polar F11 blank display

In the battery change I put it in the wrong polarity.
My F11 is now in blank display.
It likes to run, make bips, but can't light up running.

The most intersting yet, it looks good when I reset it (3 buttons for 3 seconds)!!! It keeps very good characters until I press ok.
Then, go blank again.

What can I do (by myself) to fix it???
Thanks a lot.

Probably too late for you but could be you need to reassemble. If any portion of the watch doesn't seat right then the display may not work properly.

Sounds to me as the integrated circuit has been damaged.
In this case you will not be able to repair it yourself as watchmakers skills needed.

There is a step by step guide in my tips and tricks of things to try with your strap. If none of these work and you are getting a signal from another source then you need to get either a new strap, a new sender or both. If you send the T-31 wearlink into polar they can run a diagnostic and see which is bad and sell you just the piece you need or a whole new chest piece.

Try resetting. From the manual, "if there are no reactions to any buttons, reset the wrist unit by pressing all the buttons simultaneously for two seconds. All other settings but time and date are saved."

Is it possible the watch block is not in correctly and the display is getting squished?

What battery is used in the wrist unit of the Polar F11

Take your watch to your nearest watch shop and ask them to do it for you.

You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is not worth the risk for the small cost saving.

I have this problem as well! I was just googling this problem when I found your post. I have the exact same watch and have had it for 2 years. I don't expose it to the sun or heat though.

You have to replace the battery with the new one. In most cases underpowered battery causes faded or even disappearing digits on LCD unless your watch has been damaged by water. Find your nearest watch repair shop or do it yourself. Do not forget to rate, please.
