There are several that will work on that model. You can also get a wireless card that slides in the side that will work as well or better than the internal one.It will probably be cheaper than the internal one too.You can use a USB wifi adapter as well.

Can anyone help me locate the internal wifi antenna of my travel 2428

You will need to have the laptop taken apart to be sure. Most manufacturers wrap the wireless antenna around the monitor. The only way to be sure is to find someone who has worked your model, or follow the the antenna from the wireless card inside your notebook

Wifi drivers problem

first check in your bios if the internal wifi card is enabled.
if it was not then your problem should be fixed by enabling it.

if it was enabled then try :

go to the compaq/hp website go to support and get the wifi driver for your model c700.
and reinstall the driver.

if this doesnt help pls add more info like what is not working is the wifi driver installed does the wifi card show up in the hardware propertys etc any info can help.

good luck

No antenna cables on toshiba satellite 1405 s151

Some models that come with a wifi card already in them have an antenna. Since you purchased your card after the laptop it does not have an internal antenna. You can purchase the internal antenna but this will require you to take apart your screen.

You could purchase a PCMCIA or USB wifi adapter and use an antenna with those devices without taking apart your laptop.

Hope this helps.

Loss of wireless range in laptop

There could be some sort of interference going on.

There are two ways that you can fix the problem:

1) See if your wireless router can support a bigger antenna. Linksys has that feature for their routers.

2) Disable your wireless adaptor and go with a USB wireless adaptor or better yet a PCMCIA adaptor if your computer has one. That will increase reception since these devices have an antenna like shape to them.
