Many portable radios require batteries that keep clock and oher functions - including memory presets. Without knowing the brand and model of your radio I can't get into any more detail than that. Look for a battery door or the manual online with google.

Hello  Press RADIO BAND.AUTO PRESET until the band you want appears on the display [direct power ON]. Each time you press the button the indication changes as follows. "FM" => "AM"  Hold down TUNE+ or --ve until the frequency digits begin to change in the display. The player automatically scans the radio frequencies and stops when it finda a clear station. If you can't tune in a station, press the button repeatedly to change the frequency step by step. If FM band is noisy, press the MODE repeteadly until "MONO" appears in the display and the radio will play it monatural. If FM radio signal at your area is very weak, this type of noise may occur. OK.
tune into the station you want as normal. Then on the remote, press & hold the number key for the preset number you want. This will flash in the display to show you it's set. You can preset 30 FM & 15 AM stations.
