Question about Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop
I have an Acer Aspire 5920g and with a Optiarc BDRom BC-5500a ATA. i used the optical drive before but suddenly it has just stopped working. it cannot read CDs and DVDs already. Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. how can i restore my optical drive? are there steps to repair the driver of this drive? Thanks!!
Can you see your dvd drive in bios ?
if yes, can you see your dvd drive in windows explorer ?
if you can't see it in windows explorer, it's windows issue,
either you can reload the operating system or you can edit windows registry.
if you want to edit, follow this step from microsoft (link below):

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
