Try reinstalling the device driver. Right click on my computer and go to device manager. Try to rollback/update first. If this doesn't work, uninstall the driver and restart the computer. It should automatically reinstall. If it doesnt, go to the HP website and download the driver automatically.

Everytime my notebook gets started up it freezes about 45 seconds later

It seems alot of people have had similar issues with these PC's.
Sounds like it could be a virus or registry error. But could also be a hardware error. Does the machine run hot? If so, try cleaning the vents and running it on a hard, flat surface. If that doesn't work I would try running an anti virus and/or anti malware program (in safe mode if that's on option) If that doesn't find anything, then you could try reinstalling the O/S.
Is there a recovery partition on the hard drive?
If none of the above works, then it is probably a hardware issue, hard drive or RAM error, something like that.

There's nothing wrong with your system. It's all Adobe's fault. Steve Jobs was right: Flash is a real pig.

Toshiba laptop freezes using webcam

Hi,

Do you think its due to external webcam ?

You mean that if you dont use webcame it works fine.

If this is the case you just uninstall the webcame drivers from Add/Remove Programmes under Control Panel.

Try to get the latest drivers from webcame manufacture website which suits your windows(OS) and install it again.

Tecra 8100 Freezes shortly after Windows comes up

Go into your hard disk utility and defragment your file. When the computer writes to your hard disk over time these files no longer are sequential as they were in the beginning. This is one solution, also you can do a disk recovery using your original disk or by pressing F10 as it boots up. Be sure and do a good check for viruses as well. The symptom you are describing sounds alot like a virus that is slowing your system down more and more. Good luck.

Freeze after boot up

hmm... given that it boots up fine into safe mode, i think there's a strong possibility that the problem is virus or spyware related.

i would see if you can run a virus scan with some good programs, check your startup processes to see if you find anything out of the ordinary, etc.

if you do find something or also think its a virus, reloading windows will always take care of that, and definitely speed up your system.

hope this helps
