Question about Dell System Board for Optiplex GX 150, PIII DELLGX150SB-06 Motherboard
I have a Dell Optiplex GX150 system with 800 Mhz processor, 256 Mb Ram and 20 GB Hdd. I'm running Windows XP Professional. For previous one month i'm experiencing a strange problem. After Dell's flash screen there appears a cursor blinking at the top left side and remains for about 5 minutes after that it eiter boots into windows or enters into bios setup depending on wheter F2 key is pressed at the flash screen or not.
The main problem is that it is not booting from CD-ROM, therefore i'm unable to install a fresh copy of windows. Also the mouse does not work in the windows nor any external modem is recognised by the system. I think that some virus has infected my bios. Plz help me.
To reinstall Xp from the CD you need to press F2 and go into the BIOS then select the boot order configuration and make the CD the first boot device and the hard disk the second boot device.
After installing XP, if you wish you can go back into the BIOS and change the boot order to boot from the hard disk first.
