Make sure the power cord is properly plugged into a wall outlet if your TV is not powering on.
Make sure the video and audio cables connecting your TV to external devices are secure if you are experiencing a fuzzy picture or no picture.
Reset the parental password if you forgot the password and
are unable to view certain programs. To do this, click "Menu" on your
remote control and use the arrow keys to select "Parental Controls."
Enter the master password, which is "4357" to reset the password.
Turn off the caption vision option if you are seeing a large
black box on your screen. To do this, click the "Menu" button and select
"Setup." Select "Caption vision" and press the "Plus" button on your
controller to set the option to "Off."
Check the "TV/Video" setting if you're not getting a picture
on your screen. You may have inadvertently selected a video input that
isn't active. Press the "TV/Video" button on your remote to cycle
through video inputs.

picture or no picture. To do this, press "Menu" and select "Video."

You can set the Game mode and External input mode at the same time by pressing the GAME button on the remote control. "GAME" appears on the TV screen. [USING THE GAME BUTTON] You may also set the Game mode and external input mode at the same time by pressing the GAME button on the remote control. “GAME” appears on the TV screen. ● To exit the Game mode and external input mode, press the GAME button on the remote control again. ● To cancel the Game mode only, adjust the picture control. The Game mode will be set to [OFF] automatically as explained in the previous section. In this case, “VIDEO”(external input mode) instead of “GAME” appears on the TV screen. ● When you press the GAME button if the TV is off, the TV turns on and will be in the Game mode and external input mode automatically.
Sounds like the input accidentally got changed. On the remote that came with the TV, push the INPUT button until you get your satellite picture again. If your SAT. remote is programmed to your TV, push the TV button, then the input button until you see your picture. If this doesn't work then the sat. cable is not securely attached or no longer works.
Not really a solution, but a workaround. You can enter public mode menu and disable power off by power button. Hold the remote in one hand (you'll need it later), and with the other hand maintain "volume " and "input" buttons on the TV, and press the power button. Maintain the power button depressed otherwise the TV will power off. You can release the other buttons. The TV should display a "Public mode" dialog box where you can input a 3-digit password. Enter "027" with the remote. The TV should display the public mode menu. It is operated with the cursor arrows of the remote. Highlight the "power on fixed" item. Change it to "fixed". Then highlight "execute" and press OK on the remote. You should now be able to release the power button without turning off the TV.
In Sharp's own words : In "Fixed" setting, the power-off by the power key of the unit is invalidated and the image is kept being received. The power can be turned off by stopping the power supply from AC.
Note that you won't be able to turn the TV off with the remote either.
Also, if you wish to enter public mode menu again, you will have to disconnect and reconnect the power cord on the back of the TV while maintaining "volume " and "input" buttons depressed, because the power button is no longer operating.
External inputs are accessed in the game mode set must be in game mode to see video
