Seems Dead. Have used product about a week with no problem. Fully charged, turned on and seemed fine, then no lights of any kind and no connection to phone? Is there a reset sequence for the headset???

first time to use it, just dead...

  • SyedsAli Feb 19, 2009

Ever since I bought it was working fine. Yesterday, it started to sing in my ear with tet-tet-tet-tet-tet kind of beeps and I put it on charging. The blue light came on but it was dim. Today I turned it on again and connected after sometime it give me the same tet-tet-tet-tet-tet and died. I have pressed and held the Call button from 1 sec to 10sec and flashed about 3 times in a sec too. No change. Now I have put it back on charging with my fingers crossed.

Any suggestions more than "press and hold" and "charging" can be a big help. Thanks.

It did the noise. I tried to charge it but nothing. It went dead. I put it back on the charger for hours but it will not come on at all. No lights, not anything at all.

Motorolla h500 no steady blue light

Starting with your headset turned off, press and hold the call button for some 6 to 10 seconds, until the indicator light is steadily lit (it will flash some times as if it was being turned on, but don't release the button at that phase). With the light steadily lit It is in pairing mode. Now make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a while, the H500 should appear on-screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). If the pairing process is successful, the indicator light will flash rapidly, and then, it will enter the stand-by mode. Otherwise, turn your headset off, and go through the whole process again.
By the way, if your headset's user guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.
Regards, Carlos

I have charged the blue tooth but I do not know how to turn it on to pair it with my phone

Well, try to press the Call button: it is the button that has got telephone drawed. Hold it until you see the blue light steadily lit. That means that you just turned on and putted the headset into pairing mode. Now find Motorola H500 over your mobile phone. You will need to put a pass, and it is by default (i think, on ALL Motorola Headsets): 0000. You're ready for using!

I got the H500 given to me but not manual to show me how to make it work w/my cell phone

Starting with your headset turned off, press and hold the call button for more than 6 seconds, until the indicator light is steadily lit (you'll notice that the light will flash as if the headset was being turned on, but don't release the button at this step). You headset is now in pairing mode. Now, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a while, the H500 will appear on the phone screen. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). You just have to pair any two blueotooth enabled devices once. All subsequent connections between them should be achieved by bringing them both within range, with their bluetooth radios turned on. If they fail to do so, a simple press on the headset's call button should suffice to established the link.

Hope it works for you.

How to sync my bluetooth?

Hold the power button down approx.
6 seconds until the blue indicator light turns on and remains
steadily lit. (The light will flash while you
hold the Call button.)
If the indicator light is flashing or does not
remain steadily lit, turn off the headset and
repeat step 1.

Go to your cell phone after you've done the above directions and:
Select (Menu) > Settings > Connection >
Bluetooth Link > Handsfree > Look for Devices.
The phone lists all Bluetooth devices it finds.
Select Motorola H500.
Press OK or Yes to pair (link) the handsfree
device.
Enter the passkey 0000 and press OK.
Note: Passkey cannot be changed
from 0000.

I hope this helps anyone else who's having a problem pairing their Motorola H500 Bluetooth headset :)!!! I just got mine to work w/ the same info!!!

I can't get my motorola h500 to pair to my nokia 2865i

To pair the headset, first turn off the headset if it’s not already off, hold the multi-function button until the LED light turns solid blue (not blinking blue) with an audio indication, then use your phone to discover and pair with the headset using “0000” as the default pass code.
