Question about LG KU990 Viewty

Can't hear without handsfree, beeps

Used handsfree, was ok, unplugged, phone switching between handset and normal profile without action on my part, beeps intermittently, can't take calls without handsfree as can't hear.

    Tried all of the suggestions (more than once) made no difference at all. Looks like a trip to the phone shop.

Hmm..did you try the customized profile so you can set it on the loudest mode? and also have you noticed if your phone makes any other noice like when you move around the menu or type a text messege? does it play music on the speaker? Try all possible ways you can think of that makes the phone create sound as a response. And last thing to do would be a reset.

  • Phone settings
  • Reset settings
Try this to bring the phone to factory settings, make sure you back up your information, like your contacts before, and good luck.!

My pantech duo stopped ringing. it will vibrate but not ring. Its an unlocked phone so I cannot go to my cellphone provider for a new one. What can I do to fix it?


go to profiles at the very bottom of your home screen and it is probably still saved to vibrate. You can switch from there.

Change Ringtone Automatically when charging


The BlackBerry gives few profiles to choose from; e.g. Normal, Loud, Quiet, Vibrate.... my recommendation would be to configure each profile separately and just enable/disable the profile you like when you enter/exit your car...

The phone itself is not capable to switching the profile on its own once it is plugged in to your car charger...

Bluetooth headset problem


There are two types of profiles that Bluetooth headsets uses. One, it is called the A2DP (Advanced Digital Profile) and second is called the Headset profile (Mono).

The A2DP is used for listening music that's transmitted from the phone to the headset.
The Headset profile is used for calling. But the A2DP can also be used for calling if the phone or the headset support it.

If one of your device (either the phone or the headset) doesn't support it, then that could be the reason why you couldn't hear the sound.

If both devices support A2DP, make sure that your headset is connected to the phone via the A2DP profile.

You need to refer to the phone manual to see if it's supported by your phone and how to connect to it.

Please follow the instruction below very carefully and make sure that you have load of your sim enjoy.

For Globe Subscribers:

For a complete listing of compatible MMS & GPRS phone handsets — send NOKIA, ERICSSON or SAMSUNG (your handset model) to 2365.
To get your phone’s settings, text GO (handset model) to 2951. Example, GO N3650. (For a list of compatible handsets, refer to #1)

Note: For Nokia 6220, 6600, and 6820, text GO < handset model >,1234 and send to 2951. Make sure to type in the two commas before the 1234 PIN. Regular text messaging charges will apply.
Enter 1234 when asked for PIN to save settings.
Send an MMS message for only Php 5.00 to activate the service.

Note: For prepaid subscribers, please make sure you have credits first before trying to access GPRS/MMS. You won’t be able to use the service if you have zero balance.


For Smart Subscribers:

OTA (over-the air) configuration

a) To activate GPRS *and* MMS
- SET MMS send to 211
- wait for the configuration to be downloaded to your phone (up to 24 hours)
- once downloaded, you will have SmartMMS data account, and SmartMMS WAP profile, and your MMS is configured already to use SmartMMS WAP profile
- you will also receive a confirmation message that your GPRS and MMS have been activated
b) To configure internet access (full access)
- SET INTERNET (handset model) send to 211
- wait for the configuration to be download to your phone, in minutes
- once downloaded, you will have SmartPC data account, and SmartPC WAP Profile
- edit this account to include DNS settings. DNS IP addresses are -202.057.096.003, 202. 057.096.004. you only need one.
c) To configure WAP via GPRS
- SET GPRS T68 send to 211
- wait for the configuration to be download to your phone, in minutes
- once downloaded, you will have SmartGPRS data account, and SmartGPRS WAP Profile. SET THIS AS YOUR DEFAULT PROFILE
d) To configure WAP via CSD (Optional - kasi MAY BAYAD ITO, per minute)
- SET WAP T68 send to 211
- wait for the configuration to be download to your phone, in minutes
- once downloaded, you will have SmartWAP data account, and SmartWAP WAP Profile. SET THIS AS YOUR DEFAULT PROFILE

I suggest you clear all your existing data accounts and wap profile beforeyou do this. If you follow the instructions in this order, SmartPC will have a CID=2. Your dial-up number willbe *99***2#

or to simplify it:

Setting up of MMS and GPRS handsets:

To download SMART MMS phone settings, key in SET MMS and send to 211.
To download SMART GPRS phone settings, key in SET GPRS and send to 211.

Activating SMART MMS and GPRS:
To activate SMART GPRS, key in GPRS ON and send to 333.
To activate SMART MMS, key in MMS ON and send to 333

Upon receiving the configuration settings, select "Save All" to save the settings in the phone.

Activation of MMS and GPRS will require a confirmation message from SMART. A message will be sent to the sub once the feature has been activated.



For SUN USERS:
Sun MMS

On the home screen, press the Programs soft key, press More to move to the next page.
Press Accessories then select MMS Setup by pressing the Action button.
Provide the following data on the required field, press Ok when done.

q First field: MMS connection
q IP: 202.138.159.78
q Port: 9201
q MMSC Address:

q Message Expiry: 1 day
q MMS Download: Auto

On the home screen, press the Programs soft key, press More to move to the next page.

Sun GPRS

To Activate GPRS:

Speaker Problem


This is simple either your mic is caked up with dirt or dust. Another possibility is that your mic is out completly and you will need to have the phone replaced. The Mic on this phone is soldered to the motherboard and you cannot just take it off and put another one on.

problem is inside ur phone, on its pcb, may be ur phone contacted with moisture which is creating problem over pins of ur headphone connecter on ur phone. u need to take it to technician.

Ipaq lost sound


Do you usually use the handsfree ear piece? Try pluggin in the handsfree ear piece and see if you can hear something. The 6515 has a known issue with the system where by the phone thinks its in handsfree ear piece mode when there isnt a ear piece plugin.
Try pluging and unpluggin the ear piece until it works

The first 2 answers sound relay dumb but always start at the beginning when diagnosing a problem. 1: make sure you're not placing your thumb over the Mic (located at the bottom, front of the device). 2: make sure Mute is not turned on, if it is tap it to turn it off. 3: if your using handsfree mode try picking the phone up and using it normally. There's no Mic volume control in the standard Matchbox based GUI but some 3rd party software does include volume adjustments so take a look at your settings in any control apps you have installed. lastly see if you get the same problem using a headset, you have not said if you are using the phone normally, with a headset/BlueTooth headset or in handsfree mode. Post back if non of this helps.

CHANGES PROFILE on its own; callers can't hear me, and I can't hear them


u just have to do take back up first then by going to settings click on master reset it will resolve ur issue good luck
